Abstract

Provided are systems and methods for establishing a communication between mobile device users that register with a collaboration system. The collaboration system determines a match between profile data of the first registered mobile device and profile data of the second registered mobile device. Displayed at the first registered mobile device is a first list of user identifications, which includes an identification of a user of the second registered mobile device and an identification of a user of at least one other mobile device. Displayed at the second registered mobile device is a second list of user identifications. The second list includes an identification of a user of the first registered mobile device and an identification of at least one other mobile device user.

Claims

What is claimed is:

         1 . A method for organizing users of mobile devices into a common group, comprising:
 receiving location information of a first and second mobile device; receiving search criteria of a user of each of the first and second mobile devices, wherein the search criteria includes location and time data; determining a relative location of the first and second mobile devices to a point of interest based on the location information of the first and second mobile device; identifying the first and second mobile device as a compatible or common group based on the search criteria of the user of each of the first and second mobile devices and the relative location of the first and second mobile devices to the point of interest; and in response to identifying the first and second mobile device as a compatible or common group, outputting an alert or notification to each of the first and second mobile devices.

         2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the common group is organized in relation to a public transportation center.

         3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the point of interest is an airport or other public transportation center.

         4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the alert or notification includes information relating to the location data, time data or the point of interest .

         5 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the alert or notification information includes a map display.

         6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein, in response to identifying the first and second mobile device as a compatible or common group, a financial transaction is performed on behalf of the user of the first or second mobile device.

         7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein location information includes current location.

         8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the alert or notification includes information relating to the shared status, location or other information of the users of each of the first and second mobile devices.

         9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the alert or notification includes a direct communication between the first and second mobile devices.

         10 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the alert or notification is transmitted to the first or second mobile device by e-mail.

         11 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the notification is pushed to the first or second mobile device.

         12 . The method of claim 1 , wherein identifying the first and second mobile device as being a compatible or common group is performed in response to receiving a selection preference of the user of each of the first and second mobile devices.

         13 . A server device for organizing users of mobile devices into a common group, comprising:
 a processor that receives location information of a first and second mobile device; a processor that receives search criteria of a user of each of the first and second mobile devices, wherein the search criteria includes location and time data; a processor that determines a relative location of the first and second mobile devices to a point of interest based on the location information of the first and second mobile device; a processor that identifies the first and second mobile device as being a compatible or common group based on the search criteria of the user of each of the first and second mobile devices and the relative location of the first and second mobile devices to the point of interest; and a processor that, in response to identifying the first and second mobile device as being a compatible or common group, outputs an alert or notification to each of the first and second mobile devices.

         14 . A computer program product organizing users of mobile devices into a common group, comprising:
 a computer readable storage medium having computer readable program code embodied therewith, the computer readable program code comprising;
 computer readable program code configured to receive location information of a first and second mobile device;
 computer readable program code configured to receive search criteria of a user of each of the first and second mobile devices, wherein the search criteria includes location and time data;
 computer readable program code configured to determine a relative location of the first and second mobile devices to a point of interest based on the location information of the first and second mobile device;
 computer readable program code configured to identify the first and second mobile device as a compatible or common group based on the search criteria of the user of each of the first and second mobile devices and the relative location of the first and second mobile devices to the point of interest;
   and in response, to output an alert or notification to each of the first and second mobile devices.
