Abstract

A cake covering assembly for protecting a cake from bodily fluids from people gathered around the cake includes a cover is positionable over a cake. The cover is comprised of a fluid impermeable material to inhibit bodily fluids from being deposited on the cake. The cover has a plurality of apertures for insertably receiving candles. A plurality of cups is provided and each of the cups is coupled to the cover. Each of the cups is aligned with a respective one of the apertures. Moreover, each of the cups receives the candle in the respective aperture to inhibit the candle in the respective aperture from contacting the cake.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I claim:

1 . A cake covering assembly having a plurality of candle wells therein wherein each of said candle wells is configured to receive a candle while said cake covering assembly is positioned over a cake, said assembly comprising:
a cover being positionable over a cake, said cover being comprised of a fluid impermeable material wherein said cover is configured to inhibit bodily fluids from being deposited on the cake, said cover having a plurality of apertures therein wherein each of said apertures is configured to insertably receive a candle; and a plurality of cups, each of said cups being coupled to said cover, each of said cups being aligned with a respective one of said apertures, each of said cups receiving the candle in said respective aperture wherein each of said cups is configured to inhibit the candle in said respective aperture from contacting the cake.

2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said cover has a top wall and a perimeter wall extending downwardly therefrom, said perimeter wall being coextensive with a perimeter of said top wall, said top wall having a bottom surface, said perimeter wall having a distal edge with respect to said top wall.

3 . The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein each of said apertures extends through said top wall, said apertures being spaced apart from each other end being distributed over said top wall, said cover being comprised of a translucent material thereby facilitating the cake to be visible through said cover when said cover is positioned over the cake.

4 . The assembly according to claim 2 , wherein:
each of said apertures extends through said top wall of said cover; and each of said cups has a basal wall and an outer wall extending upwardly therefrom, said outer wall having a distal edge with respect to said basal wall to define an opening into said cups, said distal edge of said basal wall of each of said cups being attached to said bottom surface of said top wall having said opening in each of said cups being aligned with said respective aperture.

5 . A cake covering assembly having a plurality of candle wells therein wherein each of said candle wells is configured to receive a candle while said cake covering assembly is positioned over a cake, said assembly comprising:
a cover being positionable over a cake, said cover being comprised of a fluid impermeable material wherein said cover is configured to inhibit bodily fluids from being deposited on the cake, said cover having a plurality of apertures therein wherein each of said apertures is configured to insertably receive a candle, said cover having a top wall and a perimeter wall extending downwardly therefrom, said perimeter wall being coextensive with a perimeter of said top wall, said top wall having a bottom surface, said perimeter wall having a distal edge with respect to said top wall, each of said apertures extending through said top wall, said apertures being spaced apart from each other end being distributed over said top wall, said cover being comprised of a translucent material thereby facilitating the cake to be visible through said cover when said cover is positioned over the cake; and a plurality of cups, each of said cups being coupled to said cover, each of said cups being aligned with a respective one of said apertures, each of said cups receiving the candle in said respective aperture wherein each of said cups is configured to inhibit the candle in said respective aperture from contacting the cake, each of said cups having a basal wall and an outer wall extending upwardly therefrom, said outer wall having a distal edge with respect to said basal wall to define an opening into said cups, said distal edge of said basal wall of each of said cups being attached to said bottom surface of said top wall having said opening in each of said cups being aligned with said respective aperture.
