Method and system for engaging in a transaction between a business entity and a merchant
Abstract
A computer-implemented method of engaging in a transaction between a merchant and a business entity. The method includes: initiating a transaction by the business entity with a merchant; obtaining, by the merchant, a business entity data set including at least one data field; communicating an authorization request from the merchant to a provider, the request including at least one data field from the business entity data set and at least one field from a transaction data set; establishing a credit-based relationship between the provider and the business entity; communicating an authorization response from the provider to at least one of the merchant and the business entity; and engaging in the transaction between the provider and the business entity based at least in part upon the established credit-based relationship. A system and apparatus are also disclosed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A system comprising:
one or more computer-readable memories storing program instructions; and one or more processors configured to execute the program instructions to cause the system to perform operations comprising:
receiving an authorization request, from a first entity, for a transaction between the first entity and a second entity;
providing a digital platform for facilitating electronic communication with at least the first entity or the second entity;
authorizing the transaction based on validating digital information received from at least the first entity or the second entity via the digital platform;
receiving an add-on request from the first entity; and
processing the add-on request without reauthorizing based on determining that the add-on request has been made within a threshold period of time of the authorization request or that the add-on request corresponds to an amount that is within a threshold amount of the authorization request.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the authorization request is received via a first webpage, the first webpage corresponding to the second entity.
3 . The system of claim 2 , the operations further comprising:
in response to receiving the authorization request, causing a payment interface to be provided to the first entity in a page layout that corresponds to the first webpage, wherein the payment interface corresponds to a service provider that is different than the first entity and second entity.
4 . The system of claim 3 , the operations further comprising:
receiving information from the first entity via the payment interface; and establishing a credit account with the first entity based on the received information, wherein the credit account is utilized in processing the transaction and the add-on request.
5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the authorizing the transaction based on validating the digital information includes authorizing the transaction for a first account of the first entity.
6 . The system of claim 5 , wherein the add-on request is processed using the first account.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the authorization request is received via a first application page, the first application page corresponding to the second entity.
8 . A computer program product comprising:
one or more computer-readable tangible storage devices, and program instructions stored on at least one of the one or more storage devices, the program instructions when executed cause a machine to perform operations comprising:
receiving an authorization request, from a first entity, for a transaction between the first entity and a second entity;
providing a digital platform for facilitating communication with at least the first entity or the second entity;
authorizing the transaction based on validating digital information received from at least the first entity or the second entity via the digital platform;
receiving an add-on request from the first entity; and
processing the add-on request without reauthorizing based on determining that the add-on request has been made within a threshold period of time of the authorization request or that the add-on request corresponds to an amount that is within a threshold amount of the authorization request.
9 . The computer program product of claim 8 , wherein the authorization request is received via a first webpage, the first webpage corresponding to the second entity.
10 . The computer program product of claim 9 , the operations further comprising:
in response to receiving the authorization request, causing a payment interface to be provided to the first entity in a page layout that corresponds to the first webpage, wherein the payment interface corresponds to a service provider that is different than the first entity and second entity.
11 . The computer program product of claim 10 , the operations further comprising:
receiving information from the first entity via the payment interface; and establishing a credit account with the first entity based on the received information, wherein the credit account is utilized in processing the transaction and the add-on request.
12 . The computer program product of claim 8 , wherein the authorizing the transaction based on validating the digital information includes authorizing the transaction for a first account of the first entity.
13 . The computer program product of claim 12 , wherein the add-on request is processed using the first account.
14 . The computer program product of claim 8 , wherein the authorization request is received via a first application page, the first application page corresponding to the second entity.
15 . A method comprising:
receiving an authorization request, from a first entity, for a transaction between the first entity and a second entity; providing a digital platform for facilitating communication with at least the first entity or the second entity; authorizing the transaction based on validating digital information received from at least the first entity or the second entity via the digital platform; receiving an add-on request from the first entity; and processing the add-on request without reauthorizing based on determining that the add-on request has been made within a threshold period of time of the authorization request or that the add-on request corresponds to an amount that is within a threshold amount of the authorization request.
16 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the authorization request is received via a first webpage, the first webpage corresponding to the second entity.
17 . The method of claim 16 , further comprising:
in response to receiving the authorization request, causing a payment interface to be provided to the first entity in a page layout that corresponds to the first webpage, wherein the payment interface corresponds to a service provider that is different than the first entity and second entity.
18 . The method of claim 17 , further comprising:
receiving information from the first entity via the payment interface; and establishing a credit account with the first entity based on the received information, wherein the credit account is utilized in processing the transaction and the add-on request.
19 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the authorizing the transaction based on validating the digital information includes authorizing the transaction for a first account of the first entity.
20 . The method of claim 15 , wherein the authorization request is received via a first application page, the first application page corresponding to the second entity.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
