Mobile transaction device enabling dynamic electronic checkins
Abstract
A mobile transaction device may present nearby event or location related merchants to a user and allow the user to check in at the event or location. The mobile transaction device may then present merchants who are associated with the event or location to the user. Thus, the user may quickly find relevant merchants with whom the user wishes to conduct mobile transactions. For example, merchants associated with an event, such as merchants in a farmer's market, food trucks along the same street, or the like, may be grouped together into a merchant group associated with an event/location. A name/picture/icon of the event/location may be presented to the user on the mobile transaction app of the user device. Thus, the user may select the event/location to check in at the event or location. The merchants associated with the event or location may be quickly located for transactions.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A system, comprising:
a non-transitory memory; and one or more hardware processors coupled to the non-transitory memory and configured to read instructions from the non-transitory memory to cause the system to perform operations comprising:
analyzing information associated with a plurality of merchants, wherein the analyzing information includes analyzing a pattern of activity associated with the plurality of merchants;
determining, based on the analyzing the information, that a first group of merchants of the plurality of merchants correspond to one or more attributes; and
in response to determining that the first group of merchants correspond to the one or more attributes, creating an event identifier corresponding to the first group of merchants.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the analyzing the information associated with the plurality of merchants further includes analyzing transactional information, location information associated with each of the plurality of merchants, or communication activity associated with each of the plurality of merchants.
3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the analyzing the information associated with the plurality of merchants further includes analyzing merchant identification information or transactional information.
4 . The system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising:
in response to determining that the first group of merchants corresponds to one or more attributes, transmitting an electronic invite to the first group of merchants, wherein the electronic invite corresponds to an event associated with the event identifier.
5 . The system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising:
in response to determining that the first group of merchants corresponds to one or more attributes, causing information corresponding to the first group of merchants to be provided to one or more users associated with an event corresponding to the event identifier.
6 . The system of claim 1 , the operations further comprising:
determining a first subgroup of merchants of the first group of merchants that corresponds to a user associated with an event corresponding to the event identifier; and causing information corresponding to the first subgroup of merchants to the provided to the user.
7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the creating the event identifier includes creating an online communication viewable by one or more users of an application, wherein the online communication advertises an event associated with the event identifier.
8 . A computer program product comprising:
one or more computer-readable tangible storage devices, and program instructions stored on at least one of the one or more storage devices, the program instructions when executed cause a machine to perform operations comprising:
analyzing information associated with a plurality of merchants;
determining, based on the analyzing the information, that a first group of merchants of the plurality of merchants correspond to one or more attributes; and
in response to determining that the first group of merchants correspond to the one or more attributes, creating an event identifier corresponding to the first group of merchants and transmitting event information to the first group of merchants, wherein the event information provides information corresponding to an event corresponding to the event identifier.
9 . The computer program product of claim 8 , wherein the analyzing the information associated with the plurality of merchants includes analyzing transactional information, location information associated with each of the plurality of merchants, or communication activity associated with each of the plurality of merchants.
10 . The computer program product of claim 8 , wherein the analyzing the information associated with the plurality of merchants includes analyzing merchant information or transactional information.
11 . The computer program product of claim 8 , the operations further comprising:
in response to determining that the first group of merchants corresponds to one or more attributes, transmitting an electronic invite to the first group of merchants, wherein the electronic invite corresponds to an event associated with the event identifier
12 . The computer program product of claim 8 , the operations further comprising:
in response to determining that the first group of merchants corresponds to one or more attributes, causing information corresponding to the first group of merchants to be provided to one or more users associated with an event corresponding to the event identifier.
13 . The computer program product of claim 8 , the operations further comprising:
determining a first subgroup of merchants of the first group of merchants that corresponds to a user associated with an event corresponding to the event identifier; and causing information corresponding to the first subgroup of merchants to the provided to the user.
14 . A method comprising:
analyzing, by a computer system, information associated with a plurality of merchants; determining, by the computer system, based on the analyzing the information, that a first group of merchants of the plurality of merchants correspond to one or more attributes; and in response to determining that the first group of merchants correspond to the one or more attributes, creating, by the computer system, an event identifier within an application corresponding to the first group of merchants.
15 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the analyzing the information associated with the plurality of merchants includes analyzing transactional information, location information associated with each of the plurality of merchants, or communication activity associated with each of the plurality of merchants.
16 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the analyzing the information associated with the plurality of merchants includes analyzing merchant information or transactional information.
17 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising:
in response to determining that the first group of merchants corresponds to one or more attributes, transmitting, by the computer system, an electronic invite to the first group of merchants, wherein the electronic invite corresponds to an event associated with the event identifier.
18 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising:
in response to determining that the first group of merchants corresponds to one or more attributes, causing, by the computer system, information corresponding to the first group of merchants to be provided to one or more users associated with an event corresponding to the event identifier.
19 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising:
determining, by the computer system, a first subgroup of merchants of the first group of merchants that corresponds to a user associated with an event corresponding to the event identifier; and causing, by the computer system, information corresponding to the first subgroup of merchants to the provided to the user.
20 . The method of claim 14 , wherein the creating the event identifier includes creating an online communication viewable by one or more users of the application, wherein the online communication advertises an event associated with the event identifier.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
