Abstract

A method for integrating a building block rack framework assembly for mounting equipment includes a plurality of vertical structural side members positioned at corners of the storage system. A plurality of horizontal structural members is coupled to the plurality of vertical structural side members. Specifically, each of the horizontal structural members has a plurality of corners, and each corner of each horizontal structural member is coupled to one of the vertical structural side members. Each vertical structural side member is an extrusion having a length selected to accommodate a desired height in a facility in which the storage system is installed.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method for integrating a building block rack framework assembly with electronic equipment, and installing, comprising the steps of:
providing a building block rack framework assembly, the building block rack framework assembly configured to receive electronic equipment; receiving the building block rack framework assembly, the building block rack framework assembly comprising the building block rack framework assembly populated with pre-configured electronic equipment, with fitments or accessories secured to the building block rack framework assembly, which allow the pre-configured electronic equipment to be populated into the building block rack framework assembly; and installing the received at least one integrated building block rack framework assembly into a mounting or seismic apparatus.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the building block rack framework assembly is configured to receive a range of electronic equipment widths, depths and heights.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the building block rack framework assembly receives at least one electronic equipment chassis.

4 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the building block rack framework assembly with pre-configured electronic equipment installed and integrated, is then configured and tested.

5 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising the step of relocating a plurality of pre-configured electronic equipment by removing at least one integrated building block rack framework assembly comprising a plurality of pre-configured electronic equipment.

6 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the mounting or seismic apparatus is an existing equipment rack.

7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the mounting or seismic apparatus is a shelving system.

8 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the mounting or seismic apparatus is at least a portion of a seismic modular electronic storage rack assembly.

9 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the steps of providing and receiving a building block rack framework assembly are performed via a multi-modal shipping unit.
