Abstract

A treatment liquid composition is a treatment liquid composition which is used to be adhered to a cloth and which includes a cationic compound, a water-soluble resin, and water; a molecular weight distribution of a water-soluble component contained in the treatment liquid composition has a maximum peak in a molecular weight range of 28,000 to 2,800,000; and a content of a water-soluble resin having a molecular weight of 28,000 to 2,800,000 is 0.6 to 5.0 percent by mass with respect to a total mass of the treatment liquid composition.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . A treatment liquid composition which is used to be adhered to a cloth, the treatment liquid composition comprising: a cationic compound; a water-soluble resin; and water, wherein
a molecular weight distribution of a water-soluble component contained in the treatment liquid composition has a maximum peak in a molecular weight range of 28,000 to 2,800,000, and a content of a water-soluble resin having a molecular weight of 28,000 to 2,800,000 is 0.6 to 5.0 percent by mass with respect to a total mass of the treatment liquid composition.

2 . The treatment liquid composition according to claim 1 , wherein
the molecular weight distribution of the water-soluble component further has a maximum peak in a molecular weight range of 1,000 to 25,000, and a ratio of a peak area of a molecular weight of 28,000 to 2,800,000 to a peak area of a molecular weight of 1,000 to 25,000 is 1:5 to 5:1.

3 . The treatment liquid composition according to claim 1 , wherein
the water-soluble resin is at least one selected from a poly(ethylene oxide), a carboxymethyl cellulose, a hydroxyethyl cellulose, and a poly(vinyl pyrrolidone).

4 . The treatment liquid composition according to claim 1 ,
further comprising a water repellant, wherein a content of the water repellant is 0.01 to 0.30 percent by mass with respect to the total mass of the treatment liquid composition.

5 . The treatment liquid composition according to claim 4 , wherein
the water repellant is at least one selected from a fluorine-based water repellant, a silicone-based water repellant, and a paraffin wax.

6 . The treatment liquid composition according to claim 4 , wherein
the water repellant is a resin having a melting point of 100° C. or less.

7 . The treatment liquid composition according to claim 1 , wherein
the cloth is a polyester or a blend containing a polyester and a cotton.

8 . The treatment liquid composition according to claim 1 , wherein
the cloth has a color portion, and an L* value of the color portion is 80 or less.

9 . The treatment liquid composition according to claim 1 ,
 further comprising resin particles.

10 . The treatment liquid composition according to claim 1 ,
further comprising a nonionic surfactant, wherein the nonionic surfactant is a polyoxyethylene oleyl ether.

11 . The treatment liquid composition according to claim 1 , wherein
the cationic compound is a polyvalent metal salt, and the polyvalent metal salt is at least one selected from calcium nitrate, calcium chloride, and magnesium sulfate.

12 . The treatment liquid composition according to claim 1 , wherein
the treatment liquid composition is used for ink jet pigment printing.

         13 . A set comprising:
the treatment liquid composition according to claim 1 ; and a pigment-printing ink jet ink composition which contains a pigment, resin particles, and water.

14 . The set according to claim 13 , wherein
the pigment-printing ink jet ink composition is a white ink containing a white pigment.

15 . An ink jet printing method comprising:
adhering the treatment liquid composition according to claim 1 to the cloth.

16 . The ink jet printing method according to claim 15 ,
further comprising, after the adhering the treatment liquid composition is performed, adhering a pigment-printing ink jet ink composition which contains a pigment, resin particles, and water to a region to which the treatment liquid composition is adhered.

17 . A cloth to which the treatment liquid composition according to claim 1 is adhered.
