Theater entrance

Abstract

The present disclosure is directed to an entrance to a theater of the type normally used to show motion pictures. The motion picture theater entrance has distinctive outer walls separating a vestibule from a lobby. The vestibule has a curved image projection wall located inside said vestibule and is connected to a viewing area by a curved walkway. The entrance also may include border lighting along the upper and or lower edges of its walls.

         25 . A theater configuration, comprising:
 a lobby;   a seating area;   an entrance to the seating area;   a vestibule extending between the lobby and the entrance, the vestibule having a curved image projection wall and a floor;   the floor of the vestibule comprising a curved pathway that connects the lobby to the entrance, the curved pathway being defined by the image projection wall; and   a curved walkway leading from the vestibule to the seating area.   
     
     
         26 . The theater configuration of  claim 25 , wherein the curved walkway is substantially parallel to the curved pathway of the vestibule. 
     
     
         27 . The theater configuration of  claim 25 , wherein the curved walkway is defined by an inner wall and an outer wall which are substantially parallel. 
     
     
         28 . The theater configuration of  claim 25 , wherein the curved pathway includes border lighting. 
     
     
         29 . The theater configuration of  claim 28 , wherein the curved walkway includes additional border lighting. 
     
     
         30 . The theater configuration of  claim 28 , wherein the image projection wall has a top edge and a bottom edge, and the border lighting is located in a recess at the bottom edge of the image projection wall. 
     
     
         31 . A theater configuration, comprising:
 a lobby;   a seating area;   an entrance to the seating area;   a vestibule extending between the lobby and the entrance, the vestibule having a curved image projection wall and a floor;   the floor of the vestibule comprising a curved pathway that connects the lobby to the entrance, the curved pathway being defined by the image projection wall; and   the entrance being positioned at one end of the vestibule.   
     
     
         32 . The theater configuration of  claim 31 , further comprising a walkway leading from the vestibule to the seating area. 
     
     
         33 . The theater configuration of  claim 32 , wherein the entrance is positioned substantially centrally in the walkway. 
     
     
         34 . The theater configuration of  claim 32 , wherein the walkway is curved. 
     
     
         35 . The theater configuration of  claim 34 , wherein the curved walkway is substantially parallel to the curved pathway of the vestibule. 
     
     
         36 . The theater configuration of  claim 34 , wherein the curved walkway is defined by an inner wall and an outer wall which are substantially parallel. 
     
     
         37 . The theater configuration of  claim 31 , wherein the curved pathway includes border lighting. 
     
     
         38 . The theater configuration of  claim 32 , wherein the walkway includes border lighting. 
     
     
         39 . A theater configuration, comprising:
 a lobby;   a seating area;   an entrance to the seating area;   a vestibule extending between the lobby and the entrance, the vestibule having a curved image projection wall and a floor;   the floor of the vestibule comprising a curved pathway that connects the lobby to the entrance, the curved pathway being defined by the image projection wall;   a walkway leading from the vestibule to the seating area; and   the entrance being positioned substantially centrally in the walkway.   
     
     
         40 . The theater configuration of  claim 39 , wherein the walkway is curved. 
     
     
         41 . The theater configuration of  claim 39 , wherein the entrance is positioned at one end of the vestibule. 
     
     
         42 . The theater configuration of  claim 40 , wherein the curved walkway is substantially parallel to the curved pathway of the vestibule. 
     
     
         43 . The theater configuration of  claim 40 , wherein the curved pathway includes border lighting. 
     
     
         44 . The theater configuration of  claim 43 , wherein the walkway includes additional border lighting.
