Abstract
A system for producing potable water from a non-potable water source includes a renewable energy power generator, a water purifier fluidly connected to the non-potable water source for providing the potable water, and electrically coupled to the renewable power generator, a hydrogen generator electrically coupled to the renewable energy power generator and fluidly connected to the water purifier for receiving a portion of the potable water, a hydrogen fueled turbine generator fluidly coupled to the hydrogen generator, a hydrogen storage system fluidly coupled to the hydrogen generator and the hydrogen fueled turbine generator, and a control system communicatively coupled to the renewable energy power generator, the non-potable water source, the water purifier, the hydrogen generator and the hydrogen fueled turbine generator. The control system controls feed of the non-potable water source to the water purifier to produce a desired quantity of the potable water, and the portion of the potable water to the hydrogen generator produces hydrogen to power the hydrogen fueled turbine generator to provide a portion of electric power when the renewable energy power generator is unable to produce the portion.

a renewable energy power generator; a water purifier fluidly connected to the non-potable water source for providing the potable water, and electrically coupled to the renewable power generator; a hydrogen generator electrically coupled to the renewable energy power generator and fluidly connected to the water purifier for receiving at least a portion of the potable water; a hydrogen fueled turbine generator fluidly coupled to the hydrogen generator; a hydrogen storage system fluidly coupled to the hydrogen generator and the hydrogen fueled turbine generator; and a control system communicatively coupled to the renewable energy power generator, the non-potable water source, the water purifier, the hydrogen generator and the hydrogen fueled turbine generator; wherein the control system controls feed of the non-potable water source to the water purifier to produce a desired quantity of the potable water, and the at least a portion of the potable water to the hydrogen generator produces hydrogen to power the hydrogen fueled turbine generator to provide at least a portion of electric power when the renewable energy power generator is unable to produce the at least a portion of the electric power.
2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the water purifier includes a reverse osmosis unit.
3 . A process for producing potable water from a non-potable water source, comprising:
using a renewable energy power generator to generate energy from a renewable energy power source; using reverse osmosis to purify water of the non-potable water source to obtain the potable water, a water purifier of the reverse osmosis is fluidly connected to the non-potable water source, and electrically coupled to the renewable power generator for energy to the water purifier; generating a hydrogen from at least a portion of the potable water by a hydrogen generator electrically coupled to the renewable energy power generator and fluidly connected to the water purifier; combusting the hydrogen from generating, by a hydrogen fueled turbine generator fluidly coupled to the hydrogen generator; and controlling the reverse osmosis of the water purifier, the renewable energy power generator, flow of the non-potable water source to the water purifier, the hydrogen generator, and the hydrogen fueled turbine generator; wherein the controlling controls feed of the non-potable water source to the water purifier to produce a desired quantity of the potable water, and the at least a portion of the potable water to the hydrogen generator produces hydrogen to power the hydrogen fueled turbine generator to provide at least a portion of electric power when the renewable energy power generator is unable to produce the at least a portion of the electric power.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
