Abstract
The invention provides a method comprising, receiving an indication of a desire for contact information associated with given media content, obtaining the contact information associated with the given media content in response to the indication and causing the obtained contact information to be stored in a database associated with a given party.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A method comprising:
receiving an indication of a desire for storing contact information associated with given media content comprising an IP video stream; obtaining the contact information associated with the given media content in response to the indication; and causing the obtained contact information to be stored in a network contact database associated with a given party.
2 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining a time period within the IP video stream when the indication of a desire was received, wherein said obtaining the contact information comprises sending a request indicating the time period and receiving the contact information in response thereto.
3 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining a time period within the IP video stream when the indication of a desire was received, wherein said obtaining the contact information comprises mapping the time period to the contact information.
4 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein obtaining the contact information includes performing a text recognition operation on the given media content.
5 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein obtaining the contact information includes receiving from a provider of the given media content the contact information.
6 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein the contact information is received in response to a request.
7 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein the contact information is received together with the given media content.
8 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein the indication of a desire for storing contact information associated with given media content is received from a user input device.
9 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein the indication that a given party desires contact information is received from a network device on which the given media content is provided.
10 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein the given media content is displayed to the given party via a network device.
11 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein said method is performed by a network device or within a network processing entity.
12 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein said receiving further comprises receiving:
a unique identifier associated with the given party; and information regarding the given media content for which contact information is desired.
13 . The method as defined in claim 12 , further comprising causing the obtained contact information to be stored in the network contact database associated with the given party at least in part on the basis of the unique identifier associated with the given party.
14 . The method as defined in claim 13 , wherein the network contact database associated with the given party comprises a plurality of entries, each entry comprising contact information associated with a given contactable entity.
15 . The method as defined in claim 1 , wherein obtaining the contact information includes receiving from a source of the given media content the contact information.
16 . The method as defined in claim 11 , further comprising releasing a signal to the network processing entity indicative of:
the obtained contact information; and a unique identifier associated with the given party.
17 . The method as defined in claim 1 , further comprising providing to the use an option to submit an indication of a desire for storing the contact information in a contact database.
18 . A system comprising:
an input for receiving an indication of a desire for storing contact information associated with given media content comprising an IP video stream; and a processing unit operative for:
obtaining the contact information associated with the given media content; and
causing the obtained contact information to be stored in a network contact database associated with a given party.
19 . A non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing one or more instructions, which when executed by a computer device, cause the computer device to perform a method comprising:
receiving an indication of a desire for storing contact information associated with given media content comprising an IP video stream; obtaining the contact information associated with the given media content in response to the indication; and causing the obtained contact information to be stored in a network contact database associated with a given party.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
