Abstract
An evaporative neck cooling device made from a plurality of separate circular fabric bands that are stacked one on top of another and are held together by a pair of fabric clasps that are each tied together in a nail knot at opposite sides of the stacked plurality of circular fabric bands, thereby providing a smooth wearable evaporative cooling device, and wherein the separate circular fabric bands provide increased surface area to enhance evaporation yet also cover one another to slow evaporation such that when the separate fabric bands jostle around one another on the user's neck, they permit different bands be exposed to the ambient air and different bands be covered by other bands at different times.

a plurality of individual fabric bands; and a knot tied around the plurality of fabric bands, wherein the knot secures the fabric bands such that a portion of the bands are fixed in place relative to the knot.

3 . The neck cooling device of claim 1 , wherein the knot and the fabric bands are comprised of different fabric.
4 . The neck cooling device of claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of knots tied around the plurality of fabric bands.
5 . The neck cooling device in claim 4 , wherein the plurality of knots is comprised of a material that is different from the material of the plurality of fabric bands.
6 . The neck cooling device of claim 1 , wherein the knot is comprised of evaporative material.
7 . The neck cooling device of claim 1 , wherein the knot is comprised of material that absorbs water.
8 . The neck cooling device of claim 1 , wherein one of the plurality fabric bands is stacked on top of another one of the plurality of fabric bands.
9 . The neck cooling device of claim 1 , wherein one or more of the bands in the plurality of fabric bands have different dimensions from another one or more of the bands in the plurality of fabric bands.
10 . A neck cooling device, comprising:
a plurality of fabric bands; and a knot that includes a plurality of wraps of fabric strands tied around the plurality of fabric bands.
11 . The neck cooling device of claim 10 , wherein the knot tied around the plurality of fabric bands secures the fabric bands such that a portion of the fabric bands are fixed in place relative to the knot.
12 . The neck cooling device of claim 10 , wherein the plurality of fabric bands is made from a plurality of different fabrics.
13 . The neck cooling device of claim 10 , wherein the plurality of fabric bands is comprised of a material that absorbs water.
14 . The neck cooling device of claim 10 , wherein the plurality of fabric bands is comprised of an evaporative material.
15 . The neck cooling device of claim 12 , wherein one or more of the bands in the plurality of fabric bands is comprised of a material that absorbs water and another one or more of the bands in the plurality of fabric bands is comprised of an evaporative material.
16 . The neck cooling device of claim 10 , wherein the plurality of fabric bands is comprised of fabric bands having varying widths.
17 . The neck cooling device of claim 10 , wherein the knot around the plurality of fabric bands is a nail knot.
18 . The neck cooling device of claim 10 , wherein a fabric density, in terms of fabric per unit of volume, in the knot is higher than one of the fabric bands.
19 . The neck cooling device of claim 10 , wherein each individual band in the plurality of fabric bands is a continuous loop of material.
