Money transfer system and messaging system
Abstract
A system for transferring funds from a sender to a recipient with a recorded message is disclosed. In one step the method includes receiving a request for a fund transfer from the sender. The sender may make the request for a fund transfer at a transaction processing device. In another step a payment is received from the sender for the fund transfer and a payment confirmation is transmitted to the host computer system. An identifier may then be assigned to the fund transfer. A recorded message from the sender may be received and at least a copy of the recorded message may be transmitted to a host computer system. The recorded message may then be associated with the fund transfer. A request, including the identifier, may be received from the recipient to receive the recorded messaged. In another step the recorded message may be sent to the recipient.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . (canceled)
2 . A computer-implemented method comprising:
receiving, at a host computer, a first request for a funds transfer from a sender to a recipient; receiving, at the host computer, transaction information from a first device, the transaction information comprising a message from the sender recorded via the first device; receiving, at the host computer, a confirmation that a payment from the sender has been made for the funds transfer; associating, by the host computer, a first identifier with the funds transfer; associating, by the host computer, the first identifier with the message; receiving, at the host computer, a second request from the recipient, wherein the second request includes a second identifier; comparing the first identifier to the second identifier to authenticate the second identifier; and in response to authenticating the second identifier, causing, by the host computer, the message to be played by a recipient.
3 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein first identifier is a Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) and the message is an audio or video message.
4 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the first request comprises a first location identifier indicating a location where the payment was made.
5 . The computer-implemented method of claim 4 , wherein the second request comprises a second location identifier indicating a location where the funds transfer is to be received; and
the method further comprising:
comparing the first location identifier to the second location identifier to determine both identifiers correspond to a same location.
6 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , further comprising:
in response to authenticating the second identifier, transmitting, to the recipient device a telephone number associated with the message.
7 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , further comprising:
transmitting, by the host computer, an audio or video stream of the audio or video message to the recipient device prior to the recipient receiving the funds transfer.
8 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein message comprises a location where the funds transfer is to be received.
9 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein causing, by the host computer, the message to be played by a recipient device prior to the recipient receiving the funds transfer.
10 . The computer-implemented method of claim 2 , wherein the first identifier and the second identifier are the same.
11 . A non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having stored thereon instructions, the instructions comprising:
receiving a first request for a funds transfer from a sender to a recipient; receiving transaction information from a first device, the transaction information comprising a message from the sender recorded via the first device; receiving a confirmation that a payment from the sender has been made for the funds transfer; associating a first identifier with the funds transfer; associating the first identifier with the message; receiving a second request from the recipient, wherein the second request includes a second identifier; comparing the first identifier to the second identifier to authenticate the second identifier; and in response to authenticating the second identifier, causing the message to be played by a recipient
12 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein first identifier is a Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) and the message is an audio or video message.
13 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the first request comprises a first location identifier indicating a location where the payment was made.
14 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 13 , wherein the second request comprises a second location identifier indicating a location where the funds transfer is to be received; and
the instructions further comprising:
comparing the first location identifier to the second location identifier to determine both identifiers correspond to a same location.
15 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , the instructions further comprising:
in response to authenticating the second identifier, transmitting, to the recipient device a telephone number associated with the message.
16 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , the instructions further comprising:
transmitting an audio or video stream of the message to the recipient device prior to the recipient receiving the funds transfer.
17 . The non-transitory computer-readable storage medium of claim 11 , wherein the message comprises a location where the funds transfer is to be received.
18 . A system comprising:
one or more processors; and
a memory coupled with the one or more processors, the memory configured to store instructions that when executed by the one or more processors cause the one or more processors to:
receiving a first request for a funds transfer from a sender to a recipient;
receiving transaction information from a first device, the transaction information comprising a message from the sender recorded via the first device;
receiving a confirmation that a payment from the sender has been made for the funds transfer;
associating a first identifier with the funds transfer;
associating the first identifier with the message;
receiving a second request from the recipient, wherein the second request includes a second identifier;
comparing the first identifier to the second identifier to authenticate the second identifier; and
in response to authenticating the second identifier, causing the message to be played by a recipient
19 . The system of claim 18 , wherein first identifier is a Money Transfer Control Number (MTCN) and the message is an audio or video message.
20 . The system of claim 18 , wherein the first request comprises a first location identifier indicating a location where the payment was made.
21 . The system of claim 20 , wherein the second request comprises a second location identifier indicating a location where the funds transfer is to be received; and
the instructions that when executed by the one or more processors further cause the one or more processors to: compare the first location identifier to the second location identifier to determine both identifiers correspond to a same location.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
