Abstract
An anchorage device is provided that is configured to surround an implantable medical device. The anchorage device includes a first component having a first substrate and a second component having a second substrate. The second component is positioned within the first component. One of the first and second substrates includes a hemostatic agent and the other of the first and second substrates includes an active pharmaceutical ingredient. Kits, systems and methods are disclosed.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 20 . (canceled)
21 . An implantable medical device comprising:
a collagen substrate; and a hemostatic agent.
22 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 21 , wherein the substrate is a collagen sheet, the implantable medical device comprising a coating that coats at least a portion of the collagen sheet, the coating comprising the hemostatic agent.
23 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 22 , wherein the hemostatic agent is selected from the group consisting of epinephrine, tranexamic acid, chitosan and oxidized regenerated cellulose.
24 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 22 , wherein the coating consists of the hemostatic agent, the hemostatic agent consisting of tranexamic acid.
25 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 22 , wherein the collagen sheet consists of collagen.
26 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 21 , wherein the substrate is a collagen sheet, the hemostatic agent being printed onto the collagen sheet.
27 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 26 , wherein the hemostatic agent is selected from the group consisting of epinephrine, tranexamic acid, chitosan and oxidized regenerated cellulose.
28 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 21 , wherein the substrate is a collagen sheet, the hemostatic agent being sprayed onto the collagen sheet.
29 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 28 , wherein the hemostatic agent is selected from the group consisting of epinephrine, tranexamic acid, chitosan and oxidized regenerated cellulose.
30 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 21 , wherein the substrate is a sheet made from collagen and a second hemostatic agent, the hemostatic agents each consisting of tranexamic acid.
31 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 21 , wherein the substrate is a collagen sheet, the implantable medical device comprising a polymer that coats at least a portion of the collagen sheet, the polymer including the hemostatic agent.
32 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 31 , wherein the polymer comprises a tyrosine-derived polyarylate and the hemostatic agent.
33 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 31 , wherein the polymer comprises a tyrosine-derived polyarylate, rifampin, minocycline and the hemostatic agent.
34 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 31 , wherein the polymer is a tyrosine-derived polyarylate comprising a first layer including the hemostatic agent and a second layer including an active pharmaceutical ingredient.
35 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 34 , wherein the active pharmaceutical ingredient comprises rifampin and minocycline.
36 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 34 , wherein the second layer does not include the hemostatic agent.
37 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 31 , wherein the polymer is a tyrosine-derived polyarylate comprising a first layer including a first amount of the hemostatic agent and a second layer including a second amount of the hemostatic agent, the second amount being different than the first amount.
38 . The implantable medical device recited in claim 31 , wherein the polymer includes a first polymer defining a first layer and a second polymer defining a second layer, the first polymer including the hemostatic agent and the second polymer including an active pharmaceutical ingredient, the second polymer being different than the first polymer.
39 . An implantable medical device comprising:
a sheet consisting of collagen; and a coating that coats at least a portion of the sheet, the coating consisting of tranexamic acid.
40 . An implantable medical device comprising:
a sheet consisting of collagen; and a polymer that coats at least a portion of the sheet, the polymer consisting of a tyrosine-derived polyarylate, tranexamic acid, rifampin and minocycline.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
