Concealed weapon holster harness and cover

Abstract

A concealed weapon holster harness and cover convertible between a halter-top configuration and a back crisscross configuration has a first body portion and similar second body portion that releasably and adjustably interconnect using a plurality of spacedly arrayed hook and loop fastener patches to provide infinite adjustability about a user's torso just under the bust area. A halter strap or two crossing back straps secure the apparatus to a user's upper body and a covering conceals the apparatus and any carried firearm from view.

         8 . A harness system comprising:
 a harness body including:
 a first body section including a first portion and a second portion extending from the first portion; and 
 a second body section including a first portion and a second portion extending from the first portion, wherein the first portion of the first body section is releasably coupled to the first portion of the second body section; and 
   at least one strap adjustably coupled to the first body section, the second body section, or both.   
     
     
         9 . The harness system of  claim 8  wherein the at least one strap includes a first strap coupled between the second portion of the first body section and the first portion of the second body section. 
     
     
         10 . The harness system of  claim 9  wherein the at least one strap includes a second strap coupled between the second portion of the second body section and the first portion of the first body section. 
     
     
         11 . The harness system of  claim 8  wherein the at least one strap is coupled between the second portion of the first body section and the second portion of the second body section. 
     
     
         12 . The harness system of  claim 8  wherein the at least one strap includes a first strap coupled to the second portion of the first body section and the first portion of the first body section, and a second strap coupled to the second portion of the second body section and the first portion of the second body section. 
     
     
         13 . The harness system of  claim 8 , further comprising a holster member coupled to the harness body. 
     
     
         14 . The harness system of  claim 13 , wherein the holster member includes an elastic portion and a retaining strap, the elastic portion coupled to the harness body and including a band of an elastic material around a cavity configured to accommodate at least a portion of a handgun, the retaining strap having a first end and a second end, the first end of the retaining strap being coupled to a first side of the elastic portion, the second end of the retaining strap being releasably coupled to a second side of the elastic portion, the first side and the second side of the elastic portion being separated by the cavity. 
     
     
         15 . The harness system of  claim 14 , wherein the holster member further includes a pocket to hold a magazine.

The harness system of  claim 8  wherein the first portion of the first body section includes a first end and a second end, and the first portion of the second body section includes a first end and a second end, the first end of the first portion of the first body section being releasably coupled to the first end of the first portion of the second body section, the second end of the first portion of the first body section being releasably coupled to the second end of the first portion of the second body section. 
     
     
         17 . The harness system of  claim 8  wherein the first portion of the first body section extends in a first direction and the second portion of the first body section extends in a second direction transverse to the first direction, the first portion of the second body section extending in the first direction and the second portion of the second body section extending in the second direction. 
     
     
         18 . A harness system, comprising:
 a harness body including:
 a first body section including a first portion extending in a first direction and a second portion extending from the first portion in a second direction transverse to the first direction, the first portion of the first body section having a first end; and 
 a second body section including a first portion extending in the first direction and a second portion extending from the first portion in the second direction, the first portion of the second body section having a first end that is releasably coupled to the first end of the first portion of the first body section; and 
   a first strap adjustably coupled to the first body section, the second body section, or both.

The harness system of  claim 18  wherein the first strap has a first end and a second end, the first end of the first strap coupled to the first portion of the first body section and the second end of the first strap coupled to the first portion of the second body section, the first strap coupled to the second portion of the first body section and the second portion of the second body section. 
     
     
         20 . The harness system of  claim 18  further comprising a second strap, wherein the first strap and the second strap are coupled to the first body section, the second body section, or both. 
     
     
         21 . The harness system of  claim 20  wherein the first strap is coupled to the second portion of the first body section and the first portion of the second body section and the second strap is coupled to the second portion of the second body section and the first portion of the first body section. 
     
     
         22 . The harness system of  claim 20  wherein the first strap is coupled to the second portion of the first body section and the first portion of the first body section and the second strap is coupled to the second portion of the second body section and the first portion of the second body section. 
     
     
         23 . The harness system of  claim 18  wherein the first portion of the first body section further includes a second end and the first portion of the second body section further includes a second end, the first end of the first portion of the first body section coupled to the first end of the first portion of the second body section and the second end of the first portion of the first body section coupled to the second end of the first portion of the second body section. 
     
     
         24 . The harness system of  claim 18  wherein the first end of the first portion of the first body section is releasably coupled to the first end of the first portion of the second body section by hook and loop fasteners. 
     
     
         25 . The harness system of  claim 18  further comprising:
 a pouch coupled to the harness body. 
 
     
     
         26 . The harness system of  claim 18 , further comprising a holster member coupled to the harness body. 
     
     
         27 . The harness system of  claim 26  wherein the holster member includes an elastic portion and a retaining strap, the elastic portion defining a cavity configured to receive at least a portion of a handgun and having a first side and a second side spaced apart from the first side by the cavity, the retaining strap having a first end and a second end, the first end fixedly coupled to the first side of the elastic portion and the second end releasably coupled to the second side of the elastic portion.
