Abstract

Agonists to ICOS in combination with a blocking agent to a T cell inhibitory receptor (e.g., CTLA-4, PD-1, etc.) are demonstrated herein to be useful for the treatment of tumors.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
. A method of treating cancer in a patient comprising administering to the patient a blocking antibody selected from the group consisting of a blocking anti-CTLA-4 antibody, a blocking anti-PD-1 antibody and a blocking anti-PD-L1 antibody and an agonist anti-ICOS antibody.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the blocking antibody selected from the group consisting of a blocking anti-CTLA-4 antibody, a blocking anti-PD-1 antibody and a blocking anti-PD-L1 antibody and the agonist anti-ICOS antibody are administered simultaneously or sequentially.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the agonist anti-ICOS antibody is a monoclonal antibody.

. The method of claim 3 , wherein the blocking antibody selected from the group consisting of a blocking anti-CTLA-4 antibody, a blocking anti-PD-1 antibody and a blocking anti-PD-L1 antibody is a monoclonal antibody.

. The method of claim 4 , wherein the agonist anti-ICOS antibody is a humanized antibody.

. The method of claim 3 , wherein the blocking antibody selected from the group consisting of a blocking anti-CTLA-4 antibody, a blocking anti-PD-1 antibody and a blocking anti-PD-L1 antibody is a humanized antibody.

. The method of claim 1 , wherein the agonist anti-ICOS antibody is a humanized antibody.

. The method of claim 7 , wherein the blocking antibody selected from the group consisting of a blocking anti-CTLA-4 antibody, a blocking anti-PD-1 antibody and a blocking anti-PD-L1 antibody is a humanized antibody.

. The method of claim 1 , consisting of administering to the patient one or more doses of the blocking antibody selected from the group consisting of a blocking anti-CTLA-4 antibody, a blocking anti-PD-1 antibody and a blocking anti-PD-L1 antibody and one or more doses of the agonist anti-ICOS antibody.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein at least one dose of the blocking antibody selected from the group consisting of a blocking anti-CTLA-4 antibody, a blocking anti-PD-1 antibody and a blocking anti-PD-L1 antibody and at least one dose of the agonist anti-ICOS antibody are administered simultaneously or sequentially.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein the agonist anti-ICOS antibody is a monoclonal antibody.

. The method of claim 11 , wherein the blocking antibody selected from the group consisting of a blocking anti-CTLA-4 antibody, a blocking anti-PD-1 antibody and a blocking anti-PD-L1 antibody is a monoclonal antibody.

. The method of claim 12 , wherein the agonist anti-ICOS antibody is a humanized antibody.

. The method of claim 11 , wherein the blocking antibody selected from the group consisting of a blocking anti-CTLA-4 antibody, a blocking anti-PD-1 antibody and a blocking anti-PD-L1 antibody is a humanized antibody.

. The method of claim 9 , wherein the agonist anti-ICOS antibody is a humanized antibody.

. The method of claim 15 , wherein the blocking antibody selected from the group consisting of a blocking anti-CTLA-4 antibody, a blocking anti-PD-1 antibody and a blocking anti-PD-L1 antibody is a humanized antibody.

. The method of claim 4 , wherein the method does not comprise administering another antitumor treatment.

. The method of claim 4 , wherein the method does not comprise administering another antitumor treatment other than surgical resection or radiation therapy.

. The method of claim 4 , wherein the method does not comprise administering another immunotherapy.
