Abstract

A disposable fuel can for a lighter has been developed. The disposable fuel can includes a lid, with a depressible valve, connected to an opening of a fuel storage area and an integrally formed elongated cylindrical body forming the fuel storage area. The elongated cylindrical body has a diameter of between 15 and 25 millimeters, and a length of between 35 and 75 millimeters. A longest length of the disposable fuel can is less than 95 millimeters allowing the disposable fuel can to be inserted into the lighter.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
. A disposable fuel can for a lighter comprising:
a lid, with a depressible valve, connected to an opening of a fuel storage area; an integrally formed elongated cylindrical body forming the fuel storage area, the elongated cylindrical body having a diameter of between 15 and 25 millimeters, and a length of between 35 and 75 millimeters; and wherein a longest length of the disposable fuel can is less than 95 millimeters allowing the disposable fuel can to be inserted into the lighter.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 1 , wherein the lid has a diameter greater than 65% of the diameter of the elongated cylindrical body.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 1 , wherein the disposable fuel can has a volumetric liquid fuel capacity between 15 milliliter and 30 milliliters.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 1 , wherein the lid has a diameter greater than 75% of the diameter of the elongated cylindrical body.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 1 , wherein the lid has a diameter greater than 85% of the diameter of the elongated cylindrical body.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 1 , wherein the lid has a diameter greater than 90% of the diameter of the elongated cylindrical body.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 1 , wherein the opening is a rolled opening.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 7 , wherein the elongated cylindrical body further comprises a shoulder portion.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 8 , wherein the shoulder portion connects the rolled opening to the fuel storage area.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 8 , wherein the shoulder portion forms a 20 to 40 degree angle with respect to a major side wall of the elongated cylindrical body.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 9 , wherein the rolled opening has an inner diameter opening into the fuel storage area of between 11 and 19 millimeters.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 9 , wherein the rolled opening has an outer diameter of between 18 and 22 millimeters.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 10 , wherein a length of the elongated cylindrical body portion from a starting point of the shoulder portion to a top of the rolled opening is between 6 and 10 millimeters.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 1 , wherein a rolled portion of the rolled opening has a rolled height of between 2 and 6 millimeters.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 1 , wherein elongated cylindrical body is constructed from aluminum, carbon fiber, plastic, steel, glass, or a combination thereof.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 1 , wherein elongated cylindrical body is formed by extrusion, pressing, casting, molding, or a combination thereof.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 1 , wherein the depressible valve further comprises a fuel inlet dip tube and a fuel outlet nozzle.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 17 , wherein the fuel inlet dip tube extends into the elongated cylindrical body less than 25% of the length of the elongated cylindrical body.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 17 , wherein the fuel outlet nozzle has a length of between 2 and 15 millimeters.

. The disposable fuel can of claim 1 , wherein the elongated cylindrical body has a sidewall thickness of between 0.15 and 0.5 millimeters.
