Abstract

A network computer system can receive location information indicating a current location of a user, upon detecting a user having arrived at an airport. based at least on the current location of the user, the network computer system can determine a time-to-reach pickup interval. Additionally, the network computer system can receive location information indicating a current location of each of a set of service providers. Based on at least on the current location of at least one service provider of the set of service providers, the network computer system can determine a request time interval. Moreover, based on the request time interval and the time-to-reach pickup interval, the network computer system can determine a computed request time indicating a time to trigger a service request.

         1 . A network computer system comprising:
 a network communication interface; one or more processors; and a memory that stores a set of instructions, that when executed by the one or more processors, cause the network computer system to:
 upon detecting a user having arrived at an airport:
 receive, via the network communication interface and from a mobile computing device of the user, location information indicating a current location of the user;
 based at least on the current location of the user, determine a time-to-reach pickup interval indicating an estimated amount of time for the user to travel from the current location of the user to a pickup location at the airport where the user can receive a transport service;
 receive, via the network communication interface and from each of a set of mobile computing devices of a set of service providers, location information indicating a current location of each of the set of service providers;
 based on the current location of at least one service provider of the set of service providers, determine a request time interval indicating an estimated amount of time for a service provider to travel to the pickup location;
 based on the request time interval and the time-to-reach pickup interval, determine a computed request time indicating a time to trigger a service request such that the user arrives at the pickup location approximately when a service provider arrives at the pickup location; and
 automatically trigger the service request by transmitting, via the network communication interface and to a mobile computing device of a selected service provider from the set of service providers, a set of data at the computed request time, the set of data indicating at least the pickup location.

         2 . The network computer system of claim 1 , wherein the at least one service provider is within a vicinity of the airport.

         3 . The network computer system of claim 2 , wherein the at least one service provider is available.

         4 . The network computer system of claim 1 , wherein execution of the set of instructions by the one or more processors further cause the network computer system to:
 transmit, via the network communication interface and to the mobile computing device of the user, a notification including information associated with the pickup location at the airport.

         5 . The network computer system of claim 4 , wherein the notification includes a text notification with a link to an application.

         6 . The network computer system of claim 5 , wherein execution of the set of instructions by the one or more processors further cause the network computer system to:
 structure the link to provide updated application information that is specific to the user.

         7 . The network computer system of claim 4 , wherein the information provided in the notification includes a map indicating the pickup location for receiving the transport service.

         8 . The network computer system of claim 7 , wherein execution of the set of instructions by the one or more processors further cause the network computer system to:
 determine an arrival terminal at which the user is located; and wherein the map identifies the pickup location that is specific to the arrival terminal.

         9 . The network computer system of claim 1 , wherein the computed request time is further based on an estimation of a demand for the transport service.

         10 . The network computer system of claim 9 , wherein the estimation for the demand is based on an estimation of a number of open service requests and a number of predicted service requests for the transport service in a given duration corresponding to the computed request time.

         11 . The network computer system of claim 10 , wherein the computed request time is further based at least in part on a predicted time for the user to locate baggage.

         12 . The network computer system of claim 10 , wherein the computed request time is further based at least in part on a predicted time for the user to pass through customs.

         13 . A computer implemented method comprising:
 upon detecting a user having arrived at an airport:
 receiving, via a network communication interface and from a mobile computing device of the user, location information indicating a current location of the user;
 based at least on the current location of the user, determining a time-to-reach pickup interval indicating an estimated amount of time for the user to travel from the current location of the user to a pickup location at the airport where the user can receive a transport service;
 receiving, via the network communication interface and from each of a set of mobile computing devices of a set of service providers, location information indicating a current location of each of the set of service providers;
 based on the current location of at least one service provider of the set of service providers, determining a request time interval indicating an estimated amount of time for a service provider to travel to the pickup location;
 based on the request time interval and the time-to-reach pickup interval, determining a computed request time indicating a time to trigger a service request such that the user arrives at the pickup location approximately when a service provider arrives at the pickup location; and
 automatically triggering the service request by transmitting, via the network communication interface and to a mobile computing device of a selected service provider from the set of service providers, a set of data at the computed request time, the set of data indicating at least the pickup location.

         14 . The computer implemented method of claim 13 , wherein the at least one service provider is within a vicinity of the airport.

         15 . The computer implemented method of claim 14 , wherein the at least one service provider is available.
