Abstract
Provided is a memory card, which includes two pairs of opposite edges, first row terminals arranged adjacent to an insertion-side edge of the memory card, and second row terminals arranged apart from the insertion-side edge of the memory card. The memory card can be easily reset in terms of software without controlling power supply in terms of hardware. Also, the memory card can be smoothly attached and detached during insertion of the memory card into a socket and reduce damage to a device.

1 . A memory card comprising:
a plurality of first row terminals arranged adjacent to an insertion side of the memory card and including a first-voltage power supply terminal; and a plurality of second row terminals arranged farther apart from the insertion side than the plurality of first row terminals and including a second-voltage power supply terminal, wherein both the plurality of first row terminals and the plurality of second row terminals are configured to be electrically connected to a socket for operation, wherein the memory card comprises a first side and a second side adjacent to the insertion side and a third side opposite the insertion side, the first side is opposite the second side, and each of the first side and the second side is between the insertion side and the third side, wherein the first side includes a first portion parallel to the second side and a second portion disposed at an angle to the second side, and the first portion of the first side is between the insertion side and the second portion of the first side, and wherein a distance between the plurality of the second row terminals and the plurality of the first row terminals is shorter than a distance between the plurality of the second row terminals and the third side.
2 . The memory card of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of the first row terminals are between the second side and the first portion of the first side.
3 . The memory card of claim 1 , wherein the first-voltage power supply terminal is configured to receive a first power having a first voltage, and the second-voltage power supply terminal is configured to receive a second power having a second voltage, and
wherein the first voltage is higher than the second voltage.
4 . The memory card of claim 3 , wherein the first voltage ranges from 3.0 V to 3.5 V, and the second voltage ranges from 1.5 V to 2.2 V.
5 . The memory card of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of second row terminals include a reset terminal that is configured to reset the memory card in response to a reset signal received from a host.
6 . The memory card of claim 5 , wherein the reset terminal is configured to interrupt power supplied to the memory card and restart application of the power in response to the reset signal.
7 . The memory card of claim 1 , wherein a passive device is on a substrate between the second portion and an extension line of the first portion of the first side.
8 . The memory card of claim 1 , wherein a distance between the second portion and the second side monotonously increases as the second portion extends from an end point of the first portion of the first side toward the third side.
9 . The memory card of claim 8 , wherein a position at which a distance between the first side and the second side is maximized is present only in the second portion.
10 . The memory card of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of first row terminals further comprise a first ground terminal and a second ground terminal, the first ground terminal and the second ground terminal being adjacent to each other.
11 . The memory card of claim 1 , wherein the plurality of first row terminals further comprise a first ground terminal located in the same position as a ground terminal of a mini secure-digital (SD) card.
12 . A memory card comprising:
a plurality of first row terminals arranged adjacent to an insertion side of the memory card and including a first-voltage power supply terminal; and a plurality of second row terminals arranged farther apart from the insertion side than the plurality of first row terminals and including a second-voltage power supply terminal, wherein both the plurality of first row terminals and the plurality of second row terminals are configured to be electrically connected to a socket for operation, wherein the memory card comprises a first side and a second side adjacent to the insertion side and a third side opposite the insertion side, the first side is opposite the second side, and each of the first side and the second side is between the insertion side and the third side, wherein the first side includes a first portion parallel to the second side and a second portion disposed at an angle to the second side, and the first portion of the first side is between the insertion side and the second portion of the first side, and wherein a first passive device is on a substrate between the second portion and an extension line of the first portion of the first side.
13 . The memory card of claim 12 , wherein the second portion includes a front portion having a concave shape and a rear portion having a convex shape, the front portion being adjacent to the first portion.
14 . The memory card of claim 12 , wherein the first passive device includes a resist, a capacitor, an inductor, a thermistor, an oscillator, a ferrite bead, an antenna, a varistor, or a crystal.
15 . The memory card of claim 12 , wherein a notch portion is provided adjacent to the third side, and the notch portion is disposed between the third side and the second portion of the first side.
16 . The memory card of claim 15 , wherein the notch portion is recessed in an L shape.
17 . The memory card of claim 15 , further comprising a withdrawal assisting portion adjacent to the third side,
wherein the withdrawal assisting portion protrudes from a surface of the memory card, and wherein among side surfaces of the withdrawal assisting portion protruding from the surface of the memory card, a central portion of the side surface of the withdrawal assisting portion, which is opposed to the third side, is concave toward the third side.
18 . The memory card of claim 17 , further comprising a second passive device in the withdrawal assisting portion.
19 . The memory card of claim 17 , wherein the withdrawal assisting portion extends to the notch portion.
20 . A memory card comprising:
a plurality of first row terminals arranged adjacent to an insertion side of the memory card and including a first power supply terminal that is configured to receive a first power having a first voltage ranging from 3.0 V to 3.5 V; and a plurality of second row terminals arranged farther apart from the insertion side than the plurality of first row terminals and including a second power supply terminal that is configured to receive a second power having a second voltage ranging from 1.5 V to 2.2 V, wherein the memory card comprises a first side and a second side adjacent to the insertion side and a third side opposite the insertion side, the first side is opposite the second side, and each of the first side and the second side is between the insertion side and the third side, wherein the first side includes a first portion parallel to the second side and a second portion disposed at an angle to the second side, and the first portion of the first side is between the insertion side and the second portion of the first side, wherein the plurality of the first row terminals are between the second side and the first portion of the first side, wherein the plurality of first row terminals comprise a first ground terminal, the first ground terminal being positioned corresponding to a ground terminal of a UHS-1 memory card, wherein a notch portion is adjacent to the third side, and the notch portion is disposed between the third side and the second portion of the first side, and wherein a withdrawal assisting portion is adjacent to the third side on a reverse surface of a surface on which the plurality of second row terminals are disposed.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
