Method for adapting a water recycling device to a user preference
Abstract
This inventive concept relates to a method for adjusting a water recycling device to a user preference profile, the method comprising the steps of: receiving data indicating an upcoming use of said water recycling device by a user; processing said data in order to determine a probability of use of said water recycling device by said user; and if said probability of use exceeds a pre-determined threshold, adjusting a number of operating parameters of said water recycling device according to a user preference profile associated with said user. The inventive concept also relates to a method for generating a user preference profile for a water recycling device, and a related system.

2 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said number of operating parameters comprises at least one operating parameter selected from the group consisting of an output water temperature, an output flow rate, and an output duration.
3 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said number of operating parameters are adjusted such that the same vary over time during a period of use of said water recycling device.
4 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said data comprises internal data 224 generated by said water recycling device.
5 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said data comprises external data 226 generated by an external device communicatively connected to said water recycling device.
6 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said data comprises historical data related to said number of operating parameters of said water recycling device.
7 . The method according to claim 1 , wherein said data is compared to said user preference profile in order to determine said probability of use of said water recycling device.
8 . A method for generating a user preference profile for a water recycling device comprising:
an outlet configured to output treated water; a drain for collecting used water output from said outlet; a recirculation loop in liquid communication with said drain and said outlet, said recirculation loop comprising a water treatment arrangement for treating said used water; an external water path in liquid communication with said recirculation loop, said external water path being connected to an external water outlet; a circulation pump for providing a flow in said water recycling device; and a sensor arrangement configured to measure a water quality parameter of water in said water recycling device; said method comprising the steps of: receiving data associated with a number of uses of said water recycling device; identifying a user group of said water recycling device based on said data, wherein said user group comprises a number of users; determining a number of operating parameters of said water recycling device associated with at least one use of said water recycling device by at least one of said number of users; and generating a user preference profile comprising at least part of said number of operating parameters for said at least one of said number of users.
9 . The method according to claim 8 , further comprising the step of updating said user preference profile
identifying said user preference profile; receiving user preference feedback indicative of a user preference of said user; updating said user preference profile according to said user preference feedback.
10 . The method according to claim 8 , wherein said user preference feedback is received from said user via an interface communicating with said water recycling device.
11 . The method according to claim 8 , wherein said user preference feedback is based on observed behavior of said at least one of said number of users.
12 . A system comprising
a water recycling device comprising
an outlet configured to output treated water;
a drain for collecting used water output from said outlet;
a recirculation loop in liquid communication with said drain and said outlet, said recirculation loop comprising a water treatment arrangement for treating said used water;
an external water path in liquid communication with said recirculation loop, said external water path being connected to an external water outlet;
a circulation pump for providing a flow in said water recycling device; and
a sensor arrangement configured to measure a water quality parameter of water in said water recycling device; and
a prediction engine configured to
receive data indicating an upcoming use of said water recycling device by a user;
process said data in order to determine a probability of use of said water recycling device by said user; and
adjust a number of operating parameters of said water recycling device according to a user preference profile associated with said user if said probability of use exceeds a pre-determined threshold.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
