Abstract

wherein R1 is selected from linear and branched alkyl groups with 1-4 carbon atoms, and R2, R3, and R4 are selected from hydrogen and linear and branched alkyl groups with 1-4 carbon atoms, for use as a medicament, in particular for the treatment of acne.

1 . Skin-treatment formulation comprising:
 a peroxide with the formula   
       
         
           
           
               
               
           
         
       
       wherein R 1  is selected from linear and branched alkyl groups with 1-4 carbon atoms, and R 2 , R 3 , and R 4  are selected from hydrogen and linear and branched alkyl groups with 1-4 carbon atoms,
 water, 
 and a dispersant system 
 
     
     
         2 . Skin-treatment formulation according to  claim 1  wherein the peroxide is di(4-methylbenzoyl)peroxide. 
     
     
         3 . Skin-treatment formulation according to  claim 1  wherein the peroxide is present in the formulation in a concentration of 0.1-20 wt %. 
     
     
         4 . Skin-treatment formulation according to  claim 1  wherein the dispersant system contains one or more compounds selected from suspending agent(s), gelling aid(s), buffering agent(s), defoamer(s), and dispersant(s).
