Abstract
A system comprising: a host device comprising at least, an electrical interface configured for connection to a powerline; a first releasable interface; a powerline communication module for transmitting and receiving information over the powerline; an intelligent module comprising at least, a second releasable interface interconnected to the first releasable interface; a digital processor; memory operatively connected to the processor and configured with instructions for causing the processor to receive and transmit information over the powerline through the powerline communication module.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . (canceled)
2 . A method of securely sending data from a server to a smart display in or about a building, said smart display having a local wireless interface to a device in or about said building, the method comprising:
receiving data from said server over a network gateway disposed in or about said building; transmitting said data from said network gateway to a device over a powerline in or about said building using PLC communication; and transmitting said data wirelessly from said device to said smart display to cause said smart display to display content based on said data; wherein said data is encrypted end-to-end between said cloud server and said smart display
3 . The method of claim 2 , wherein the server is a cloud server.
4 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said data relates to a person's position in or about said building.
5 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said content is displayed for a user different from said person.
6 . The method of claim 2 , further comprises identifying said person.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein said identifying uses facial recognition.
8 . The method of claim 2 , wherein said data comprises said identity of said person.
9 . The method of claim 2 , wherein an indoor positioning system is used to generate said data.
10 . The method of claim 2 , further comprising transmitting second data about said person to said server.
11 . A method of displaying information about on a smart display in or about a building, said smart display having a local wireless interface to a device in or about said building, the method comprising:
receiving information from a network of sensors disposed in or about said building; generating data based on said information; transmitting said data to a device; and transmitting said secondary data wirelessly from said device to said smart display to cause said smart display to display content based on said data.
12 . The method of claim 11 , wherein said data is position system data and said secondary data is said position system data plus information from another data set
13 . The method of claim 11 , wherein said data is identification data and said secondary data comprises position system data.
14 . The method of claim 13 , wherein said secondary data comprises identification data plus position system data.
15 . The method of claim 11 , wherein said sensors are part of intelligent modules.
16 . The method of claim 11 , wherein the server is a cloud server.
17 . The method of claim 11 , wherein said content is displayed for a user different from said person.
18 . The method of claim 11 , further comprising transmitting second data about said person to said server.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
