Abstract

A sweat band system for inhibiting a hat from being soiled with sweat includes a hat that has a sweatband. A belt is removably coupled to the hat and the belt is coextensive with the sweatband. The belt is positioned between the sweatband and the user's head thereby inhibiting sweat from contacting the hat.

I claim: 
     
         1 . A sweat band system for inhibiting a band of a hat from being soiled with sweat, said system comprising:
 a hat being configured to be worn, said hat having a sweatband; and   a belt being removably coupled to said hat, said belt being coextensive with said sweatband wherein said belt is configured to be positioned between said sweatband and the user's head thereby inhibiting sweat from contacting said hat.   
     
     
         2 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein said sweatband has an inwardly facing surface wherein said inwardly facing surface is configured to abut a head of a user when said hat is worn. 
     
     
         3 . The system according to  claim 1 , wherein:
 said sweatband has an inwardly facing surface; and   said belt is continuous such that said belt forms a closed loop, said belt having a first surface, a second surface, and a top edge, said second surface abutting said inwardly facing surface of said sweatband, said first surface being configured to abut the user's head when said hat is worn, said belt being comprised of a fluid absorbent material.   
     
     
         4 . The system according to  claim 3 , further comprising a plurality of clips, each of said clips being coupled to said belt, each of said clips engaging said sweatband such that said belt is retained on said sweatband.

The system according to  claim 4 , wherein each of said clips is coupled to said top edge of said belt, said clips being spaced apart from each other and being distributed around said belt, each of said clips extending downwardly along and being spaced from said second surface, said sweatband being positioned between each of said clips and said belt when said belt is positioned on said sweatband. 
     
     
         6 . A sweat band system for inhibiting a band of a hat from being soiled with sweat, said system comprising:
 a hat being configured to be worn, said hat having a sweatband, said sweatband having an inwardly facing surface wherein said inwardly facing surface is configured to abut a head of a user when said hat is worn;   a belt being removably coupled to said hat, said belt being coextensive with said sweatband wherein said belt is configured to be positioned between said sweatband and the user's head thereby inhibiting sweat from contacting said hat, said belt being continuous such that said belt forms a closed loop, said belt having a first surface, a second surface, and a top edge, said second surface abutting said inwardly facing surface of said sweatband, said first surface being configured to abut the user's head when said hat is worn, said belt being comprised of a fluid absorbent material; and   a plurality of clips, each of said clips being coupled to said belt, each of said clips engaging said sweatband such that said belt is retained on said sweatband, each of said clips being coupled to said top edge of said belt, said clips being spaced apart from each other and being distributed around said belt, each of said clips extending downwardly along and being spaced from said second surface, said sweatband being positioned between each of said clips and said belt when said belt is positioned on said sweatband.
