Golf game
Abstract
An indoor golf game, Tin Cup features super-lightweight, balanced balls that look like golf balls and fly, spin and land on a target golf green with very similar characteristics of standard golf shots. The target green has over 130 different setups of slope and hole combinations, and there are 8 different hole lengths, making for over 100 different hole set-ups with detailed setup and scoring instructions. Tin Cup can be played in a variety of ways that parallel the different types of standard golf games. Golf's chipping/pitching game is very difficult to master, and Tin Cup is also very difficult to master, providing incredibly accurate practice feedback that translates well when playing standard golf.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A golf game, comprising:
a ball formed of a lightweight material; a target rug having a plurality of hole markers disposed in a spaced apart relation on a top surface of the target rug; an adjustable platform base dimensioned to be positioned subjacent to the target rug; and a cup target positionable over one of the plurality of hole markers for a selected golf hole setup.
2 . The golf game of claim 1 , further comprising:
a tee mat having a ball striking zone supporting the ball above a floor surface, such that the ball may be struck with a golf club without hitting the floor surface.
3 . The golf game of claim 2 , wherein the tee mat further comprises a ball holder zone or higher turf grass to hold the balls and provide a second tee area option.
4 . The golf game of claim 2 , further comprising:
one or more trap rugs, dimensioned smaller than the target rug in shapes corresponding to curves of golf sand traps.
5 . The golf game of claim 4 , further comprising:
a trap lift dimensioned to provide one of a slope or a contour to at least one of the plurality of traps.
6 . The golf game of claim 1 , further comprising:
one or more slope lift blocks, dimensioned to be positioned subjacent to the base, the one or more lift blocks imparting one of a slope or a contour to the top surface of the target rug. This lift block may consist of one rectangular piece or two wedges that slide across each other and secured together to create a variable height.
7 . The golf game of claim 6 , wherein the adjustable platform base is formed in one of a one piece, a plurality of interlocking, or a plurality of folding segments.
8 . The golf game of claim 7 , wherein at the platform base is supported on the one or more lift blocks.
9 . The golf game of claim 8 , further comprising:
a plurality of scoring rings concentrically defined in a spaced apart relation around each of the plurality of hole markers.
10 . The golf game of claim 9 , wherein the cup is a metal cup.
11 . A golf game, comprising:
a target rug having a plurality of hole markers disposed in a spaced apart relation on a top surface of the target rug, a plurality of scoring rings concentrically defined in a spaced apart relation around each of the plurality of hole markers; an adjustable platform base dimensioned to be positioned subjacent to the target rug; and a tee mat having a ball striking zone supporting the ball above a floor surface, such that the ball may be struck with a golf club without hitting the floor surface.
12 . The golf game of claim 11 , further comprising:
one or more trap rugs, dimensioned smaller than the target rug.
13 . The golf game of claim 12 , further comprising:
a trap lift dimensioned to provide one of a slope or a contour to at least one of the plurality of traps.
14 . The golf game of claim 11 , further comprising:
one or more lift blocks, dimensioned to be positioned subjacent to the base, the one or more lift blocks imparting one of a slope or a contour to the top surface of the target rug.
15 . The golf game of claim 14 , wherein the adjustable platform base is formed from one piece or a plurality of interlocking or folding segments.
16 . The golf game of claim 15 , wherein the platform base is supported on the one or more lift blocks.
17 . The golf game of claim 11 , further comprising:
a ball formed of a lightweight material having a smooth surface and indicia for a plurality of golf ball dimples disposed in a spaced apart relation on the smooth surface.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
