Method for handling sdap entity in wireless communication system and apparatus therefor

Abstract

A method for releasing a Service Data Adaptation Protocol (SDAP) entity by a user equipment (UE) at a wireless communication system is disclosed. The method comprises receiving information about a data radio bearer (DRB) to be released, from a network; releasing the DRB based on the information; and releasing the SDAP entity, if the SDAP entity associated with the released DRB does not have any DRB.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A method for releasing a Service Data Adaptation Protocol (SDAP) entity by a user equipment (UE) at a wireless communication system, the method comprising:
 receiving information about a data radio bearer (DRB) to be released, from a network;   releasing the DRB based on the information; and   releasing the SDAP entity, if the SDAP entity associated with the released DRB does not have any DRB.   
     
     
         2 . The method according to  claim 1 , wherein, if the released DRB is a default DRB, the SDAP entity is released, regardless of whether the SDAP entity associated with the released DRB does not have any DRB. 
     
     
         3 . The method according to  claim 1 , further comprising:
 releasing the SDAP entity when information about a protocol data unit (PDU) session associated with the SDAP entity is received from the network;   
     
     
         4 . A user equipment (UE) in a wireless communication system, the UE comprising:
 a memory; and   at least one processor coupled to the memory and configured to:   receive information about a data radio bearer (DRB) to be released, from a network;   release the DRB based on the information; and   release a Service Data Adaptation Protocol (SDAP) entity, if the SDAP entity associated with the released DRB does not have any DRB.   
     
     
         5 . The UE according to  claim 4 , wherein, if the released DRB is a default DRB, the SDAP entity is released, regardless of whether the SDAP entity associated with the released DRB does not have any DRB. 
     
     
         6 . The UE according to  claim 4 , wherein the at least one processor is further configured to:
 release the SDAP entity, when information about a protocol data unit (PDU) session associated with the SDAP entity is received from the network.
