Claims

Abstract

An object of the present disclosure is to provide an adhesive composition for an organic fiber which has excellent heat-resistant adhesiveness that allows an organic fiber and a rubber composition to maintain high adhesive force even when being exposed to high temperatures. An adhesive composition for an organic fiber contains: (a) an epoxy compound that is a sorbitol polyglycidyl ether and has a chlorine content not greater than 9.6% by weight; and (b) a blocked isocyanate.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An adhesive composition for an organic fiber, the adhesive composition containing:
 (a) an epoxy compound that is a sorbitol polyglycidyl ether and has a chlorine content not greater than 9.6% by weight; and   (b) a blocked isocyanate.   
     
     
         2 . The adhesive composition for the organic fiber according to  claim 1 , wherein the organic fiber is at least one type selected from the group consisting of polyester fibers, nylon fibers, aramid fibers and rayon fibers. 
     
     
         3 . A method for treating an organic fiber comprising the steps of:
 (1) treating the organic fiber with the adhesive composition for the organic fiber according to  claim 1  as a first treatment agent; and   (2) treating the organic fiber treated with the first treatment agent, with a second treatment agent containing a resorcin-formalin-rubber latex (RFL).   
     
     
         4 . The method for treating the organic fiber according to  claim 3 , wherein the organic fiber is at least one type selected from the group consisting of polyester fibers, nylon fibers, aramid fibers and rayon fibers. 
     
     
         5 . An organic fiber treated with the adhesive composition for the organic fiber according to  claim 1 . 
     
     
         6 . A tire comprising at least one or more members selected from the group consisting of a band, a carcass ply, a chafer, and a filler that include the organic fiber according to  claim 5 . 
     
     
         7 . A tire comprising a band, wherein
 the band includes a rubber composition and an organic fiber treated with the adhesive composition for the organic fiber according to  claim 1 , and   peeling resistance between the rubber composition and the organic fiber is not less than 140 N/25 mm.   
     
     
         8 . The tire according to  claim 7 , wherein the organic fiber is at least one type selected from the group consisting of polyester fibers, nylon fibers, aramid fibers, and rayon fibers. 
     
     
         9 . The tire according to  claim 7 , wherein the organic fiber is at least one type selected from the group consisting of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) fibers, polyethylene naphthalate (PEN) fibers, and aramid fibers. 
     
     
         10 . The tire according to  claim 7 , wherein the organic fiber is subjected to an immersion treatment in the adhesive composition for the organic fiber. 
     
     
         11 . The tire according to  claim 7 , wherein
 the rubber composition contains a rubber component, and   an amount of a polyisoprene-based rubber in 100% by weight of the rubber component is 0 to 70% by weight.
