Abstract

A device including a center sleeve implement, wherein a shade material is attached and rolled onto the center sleeve implement. A mounting bracket implement is configured to engage a poling platform deck where a mounting bracket locking hole is configured to align with a locking hole component of an outer wheel implement. A turn handle implement is into engagement with the outer wheel implement, wherein the turn handle implement is configured to operate the outer wheel implement and the center sleeve implement in unison to roll or unroll the shade material. A locking pin mechanism is configured to engage the locking hole component of the outer wheel implement and the mounting bracket locking hole in a locked position to provide tension on said shade material in a deployed position and keep the shade material from unrolling in a stowed position.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A device comprising:
 a center sleeve implement, wherein said center sleeve implement is configured to accept a shade material, wherein said shade material is attached and rolled onto said center sleeve implement;   an outer wheel implement, in which said outer wheel implement comprises a first locking hole component;   a mounting bracket implement, wherein said mounting bracket implement is configured to engage a poling platform deck;   a mounting bracket locking hole, in which said mounting bracket locking hole is configured to align with said first locking hole component;   a turn handle implement into engagement with said outer wheel implement, wherein said turn handle implement is configured to operate said outer wheel implement and said center sleeve implement in unison to roll or unroll said shade material; and   a locking pin mechanism, wherein said locking pin mechanism is configured to engage said first locking hole component and said mounting bracket locking hole in a locked position, and wherein said locked position is configured to be operable for at least one of, providing tension on said shade material in a deployed position and keeping said shade material from unrolling in a stowed position.   
     
     
         2 . The device of  claim 1 , in which said shade material comprises a canvas, wherein a leading edge of said canvas comprises a double pole mechanism configured to be operable for engaging an appropriate anchor point on a console. 
     
     
         3 . The device of  claim 2 , and in which said device is a boat shade. 
     
     
         4 . The device of  claim 1 , in which said first locking hole component comprises a plurality of holes disposed around a perimeter of said outer wheel implement. 
     
     
         5 . The device of  claim 4 , further comprising an eye bolt configured to engage said mounting bracket to said poling platform deck. 
     
     
         6 . The device of  claim 5 , further comprising a rod axle implement disposed at a proximate center portion of said center sleeve implement, wherein said rod axle implement is configured to engage said mounting bracket implement. 
     
     
         7 . The device of  claim 6 , further comprising a pair of end caps disposed at each proximate end of said center sleeve implement. 
     
     
         8 . The device of  claim 7 , further comprising a spacer piece disposed proximately between said mounting bracket implement and said outer wheel implement, wherein said spacer piece is configured to allow room for a nut attaching said turn handle implement to clear a mount. 
     
     
         9 . The device of  claim 8 , further comprising an acorn nut that is configured to engage said outer wheel implement to said rod axle implement. 
     
     
         10 . The device of  claim 9 , in which said outer wheel implement further comprises an aluminum outer wheel implement. 
     
     
         11 . The device of  claim 10 , in which said locking pin mechanism comprises a pull pin lock. 
     
     
         12 . The device of  claim 11 , in which said mounting bracket implement comprises at least two L-shaped mounting brackets disposed at each proximate end of said center sleeve implement. 
     
     
         13 . The device of  claim 12 , in which said outer wheel implement further comprises at least two aluminum outer wheel implements disposed at each proximate end of said center sleeve implement. 
     
     
         14 . The device of  claim 13 , in which said locking pin mechanism further comprises at least two pull pin locks, each pull pin lock configured to engage each of said at least two L-shaped mounting brackets to each of said at least two aluminum outer wheel implements. 
     
     
         15 . A device comprising:
 means for providing a shade on a boat;   means for accepting said shade providing means, wherein said shade providing means is configured to attach and roll onto said accepting means;   means for engaging a poling platform deck on said boat;   means for rotating said accepting means;   means for operating said rotating means; and   means for providing tension on said shade material in a deployed position and keeping said shade material from unrolling in a stowed position.   
     
     
         16 . A device comprising:
 a center sleeve implement, wherein said center sleeve implement is configured to accept a shade material, wherein said shade material is attached and rolled onto said center sleeve implement;   a pair of end caps, each end cap being disposed at each proximate end of said center sleeve implement;   an outer wheel implement, in which said outer wheel implement comprises a first locking hole component;   a mounting bracket implement, wherein said mounting bracket implement is configured to engage a poling platform deck of a boat;   an eye bolt, wherein said eye bolt is configured to engage said mounting bracket implement to said poling platform deck;   a mounting bracket locking hole, in which said mounting bracket locking hole is configured to align with said first locking hole component;   a turn handle implement into engagement with said outer wheel implement, wherein said turn handle implement is configured to operate said outer wheel implement and said center sleeve implement in unison to roll or unroll said shade material; and   a locking pin mechanism, wherein said locking pin mechanism is configured to engage said first locking hole component and said mounting bracket locking hole in a locked position, and wherein said locked position is configured to be operable for at least one of, providing tension on said shade material in a deployed position and keeping said shade material from unrolling in a stowed position.   
     
     
         17 . The device of  claim 16 , in which said shade material comprises a canvas, wherein a leading edge of said canvas comprises a double pole mechanism configured to be operable for engaging an appropriate anchor point on a console, and in which said device is a boat shade. 
     
     
         18 . The device of  claim 17 , in which said first locking hole component comprises a plurality of holes disposed around a perimeter of said outer wheel implement. 
     
     
         19 . The device of  claim 18 , further comprising a rod axle implement disposed at a proximate center portion of said center sleeve implement, wherein said rod axle implement is configured to engage said mounting bracket implement. 
     
     
         20 . The device of  claim 19 , further comprising a spacer piece disposed proximately between said mounting bracket implement and said outer wheel implement, wherein said spacer piece is configured to allow room for a nut attaching said turn handle implement to clear a mount.
