Claims

Abstract

A base station which uses either one of a plurality of component carriers individually or uses an aggregate carrier which is an aggregate of the above-mentioned plurality of component carriers to carry out radio communications with a mobile terminal corresponding to the above-mentioned component carrier and also carry out radio communications with a mobile terminal corresponding to the above-mentioned aggregate carrier is provided. The base station notifies a bandwidth of an aggregate carrier which is an aggregate of all of the above-mentioned component carriers, as a bandwidth which the above-mentioned base station uses, to the mobile terminal corresponding to the above-mentioned aggregate carrier. As a result, while an improvement in the transmission rate is provided according to the aggregate carrier, the base station can also support an operation of a mobile terminal corresponding to a component carrier.

         2 . A mobile communication system performing a wireless communication between a mobile terminal and a base station using an aggregate carrier aggregating a plurality of subcarriers, wherein
 the mobile terminal reports, to the base station, a measurement result of a reception quality using a channel quality indicator (CQI) in a case where data transmission/reception is performed using one of subcarriers among the plurality of subcarriers, and   the mobile terminal does not report, to the base station, the measurement result of the reception quality using CQI in a case where data transmission/reception is not performed using the one of the subcarriers.   
     
     
         3 . A mobile terminal performing a wireless communication with a base station using an aggregate carrier aggregating a plurality of subcarriers,
 reporting, to the base station, a measurement result of a reception quality using a channel quality index (CQI) in a case where data transmission/reception is performed using one of subcarriers among the plurality of subcarriers, and   not reporting, to the base station, the measurement result of the reception quality using CQI in a case where data transmission/reception is not performed using the one of the subcarriers.   
     
     
         4 . A base station performing a wireless communication with a mobile terminal using an aggregate carrier aggregating a plurality of subcarriers,
 receiving, from the mobile terminal, a measurement result of a reception quality using a channel quality index (CQI) in a case where data transmission/reception is performed using one of subcarriers among the plurality of subcarriers; and   not receiving, from the mobile terminal, the measurement result of the reception quality using CQI in a case where data transmission/reception is not performed using the one of the subcarriers.
