         1 . A non-pneumatic tire comprising a ground contacting annular tread portion; a shear band; a connecting web formed of a plurality of strips of fabric extending between a first radius and a second radius, wherein a first end of the reinforcement layer is positioned in the shear band, and a second end is positioned adjacent to the first end, and a mid portion is secured to the rim.
