Shower cap adapted for african american hair styling with stylistic elements

Abstract

A shower cap adapted to protect extra voluminous hair styles of principally African Americans having a concave dome and a stylized knot adapted to pull or push on the head of wearer in high pressure water. In various embodiments, the shower cap comprises a plurality of telescoping, annular tiers for extra volume.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . A shower cap for voluminous hair, the shower cap comprising:
 a concave waterproof polymeric dome;   a brim circumscribing a lower edge of the dome, the brim comprising one or more flexible elastomeric straps; and   a knot affixed exteriorly to the brim, the knot adapted pull at the brim when water pressure is applied thereto.   
     
     
         2 . The shower cap of  claim 1 , further comprising a plurality of knots. 
     
     
         3 . The shower cap of  claim 1 , wherein the brim is folded over the dome. 
     
     
         4 . A shower cap for voluminous hair, the shower cap comprising:
 a concave waterproof polymeric dome disposed above a plurality of annular concentric tiers;   a plurality of annular, concentric tiers telescoping into one another to add volume to the shower cap;   a brim circumscribing a lower edge of a tier, the brim comprising one or more flexible elastomeric straps; and   a knot affixed exteriorly to one or more of the brim and the dome, the knot adapted pull at the shower cap when water pressure is applied thereto.   
     
     
         5 . The device of  claim 4 , further comprising a plurality of knots. 
     
     
         6 . The device of  claim 4 , wherein the tiers telescope into one another. 
     
     
         7 . The device of  claim 4 , wherein the tiers are configured to take on the appearance of a wrap.
