Abstract

Described herein are compounds, compositions and methods for the treatment of a subject having cancer, skin conditions, blood flow and/or growth failure. In one aspect of the present invention, there is provided compositions and methods for treating a subject having cancer, skin conditions, blood flow and/or growth failure, comprising fat derived from a camel. There are also described sunscreen and photoprotective compounds, compositions and methods, comprising fat derived from a camel.

         28 . A composition for treatment of a skin condition, comprising a non-boiled dry camel hump fat. 
     
     
         29 . The composition according to  claim 29 , wherein the skin condition comprises at least one of:
 a. alopecia;   b. eczema;   c. rosacea;   d. acne;   e. atopic dermatitis;   f. seborrheic dermatitis;   g. dry skin;   h. age spots;   i. wrinkles;   j. Athlete's Foot;   k. radiation exposure; and   l. acute burn.   
     
     
         30 . The composition according to  claim 29 , wherein the camel hump fat comprises at least 99% w/w of the composition. 
     
     
         31 . A method for producing a skin treatment composition without a water addition and without boiling, the method comprising: heating a camel hump fat; filtering the heated camel hump fat to remove a proteinaceous connective tissue; and cooling the heated camel hump fat to produce a camel hump fat cream for topical application. 
     
     
         32 . The method according to  claim 31 , wherein the camel hump fat is heated between about 50° C. and 80° C. 
     
     
         33 . The method according to  claim 32 , wherein the camel hump fat is heated for about 45 minutes.
