Abstract
A keyboard includes rows of keys defining a keyboard axis and side borders of the keyboard, the keyboard axis disposed mediate the side borders of the keyboard, the rows of keys disposed in series with each other along the keyboard axis, and the keyboard axis being disposed at an acute or obtuse angle relative to a user of the keyboard and being generally aligned along a length of an arm of the user holding the keyboard. Each key may be also defined by a unique region of numeric values or a unique region of color pixels allowing ease in changing keyboard location, size and orientation.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 30 . (canceled)
31 . A physical diagonal keyboard comprising:
rows of keys defining a keyboard axis and side borders of said keyboard; said keyboard axis disposed mediate said side borders of said keyboard; said rows of keys disposed in series with each other along said keyboard axis; and said keyboard axis being disposed at an acute or obtuse angle relative to a user of said keyboard and being generally aligned along a length of an arm of the user holding said keyboard.
32 . The keyboard of claim 31 , wherein said rows of keys are disposed on a quadrilateral-shaped surface and wherein said keyboard axis is disposed generally diagonal to one corner of said quadrilateral-shaped surface.
33 . The keyboard of claim 31 , wherein said rows of keys are configured to be uses by a right-handed or a left-handed user.
34 . The keyboard of claim 31 , wherein said keyboard axis is aligned substantially with a longitudinal axis of a thumb, wrist or elbow of the user holding said keyboard or holding a device containing said keyboard and wherein said side borders and said keyboard axis intersect generally at a rotational joint of said thumb.
35 . The keyboard of claim 31 , wherein each key within each row comprises a length thereof being greater than a width of said each key, said each key further comprises a longitudinal axis thereof disposed at an unique angle to said keyboard axis.
36 . The keyboard of claim 31 , wherein keys in each row being disposed in an arc-shaped arrangement relative to said keyboard axis.
37 . The keyboard of claim 39 , wherein an “enter” key is disposed below lowest row of keys.
38 . The keyboard of claim 31 , wherein a shape of at least some of said keys have a substantially hexagonal shape.
39 . A physical diagonal keyboard comprising:
a quadrilateral-shaped surface defining keyboard borders; a keyboard axis disposed generally diagonal to one corner of said quadrilateral-shaped surface; and rows of keys disposed within said keyboard borders and in series with each other along said keyboard axis; said each row being disposed in an arc-shaped arrangement relative to said keyboard axis; each key within said rows of keys comprising a longitudinal axis thereof disposed at an unique angle to said keyboard axis.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
