Ventilation device
Abstract
A ventilation device includes a frame unit, a vent unit, and an air circulating unit. The frame unit cooperates with a building to form an air chamber having a vent opening and an outlet. The vent unit cooperates with the vent opening and the air chamber to define a first venting pathway, and has a vent slot facing the air chamber. A ratio between an area of the vent slot to an area of the outlet is less than 0.33. The air circulating unit includes a window movable between a closed position to block the outlet, and an open position where the outlet is unblocked and cooperates with the vent opening and the air chamber to form a second venting pathway.
Claims

a frame unit that is adapted to be mounted onto a surface of a building, that includes at least one guiding bar, and that is adapted to cooperate with the building to form an air chamber having a vent opening and an outlet, which are respectively adjacent to interior and exterior of the building; at least one vent unit that is disposed on said at least one guiding bar and that has a vent slot set being adjacent to, in fluid communication with said air chamber, and having at least one vent slot, each of said outlet of said air chamber and said at least one vent slot having an opening that faces said air chamber, a ratio between an area of said opening of said at least one vent slot to an area of said opening of said outlet being less than 0.33,
a vent hole set adapted to be adjacent to and in fluid communication with the exterior of the building, and being in fluid communication with said vent slot set, and
a vent chamber formed in said at least one guiding bar, being in fluid communication with said vent slot set and said vent hole set, and cooperating with said vent opening, said air chamber, said vent slot set and said vent hole set to form a first venting pathway; and
an air circulating unit that includes a window mounted on said frame unit, and being movable relative to said frame unit between a closed position, where said outlet is blocked by said window such that the interior of the building fluidly communicates with the exterior of the building through the first venting pathway, and an open position, where said outlet is unblocked such that the interior and exterior of the building fluidly communicate through said first venting pathway and a second venting pathway which is defined cooperatively by said vent opening, said air chamber and said outlet.
2 . The ventilation device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said window of said air circulating unit has:
a window frame that has an end pivotally mounted to said frame unit, and that is formed with a window opening; and a light-transmissive window pane that is embedded in said window frame and that blocks said window opening from being fluidly communicated with the exterior of the building.
3 . The ventilation device as claimed in claim 2 , wherein said air circulating unit further includes a driving member that is connected between said frame unit and said window for driving movement of said window relative to said frame unit between the closed position and the open position.
4 . The ventilation device as claimed in claim 3 , wherein said driving member has a cylinder body that is connected to said frame unit, and a piston rod that is inserted telescopically into said cylinder body and that is connected to said window.
5 . The ventilation device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein:
said frame unit includes two of said guiding bars extending in a first direction, and further includes two spaced-apart supporting members, each of said supporting members extending in a second direction which is transverse to the first direction, and interconnecting said guiding bars; and said ventilation device comprises two of said vent units, each of which is disposed on a respective one of said guiding bars and further has a plurality of blocking plates that are formed with a staggered arrangement within the respective one said guiding bars and that cooperate with the respective one of said guiding bars to define said vent chamber.
6 . The ventilation device as claimed in claim 5 , wherein:
said window of said air circulating unit has
a window frame that has an end pivotally mounted to said frame unit, and that is formed with a window opening; and
a light-transmissive window pane that is embedded in said window frame and that blocks said window opening from being fluidly communicated with the exterior of the building;
said ventilation device further includes a connecting seat that is mounted between said frame unit and said window and that includes a seat body defining an installation opening that is adjacent to and in fluid communication with said outlet 202 ) of said frame unit; said seat body has
a base wall that covers top surfaces of said guiding bars,
an inner surrounding wall that extends from an inner edge of said base wall, and that has a distal portion surrounded by said window frame of said window,
an outer surrounding wall that extends from an outer edge of said base wall and that is disposed at an outer side of and secured to said guiding bars of said frame unit; and
said window further has at least one hinge that has a first hinge plate fixedly mounted to said base wall of said connecting seat, and a second hinge plate fixedly mounted to said window frame and pivotally connected to said first hinge plate.
7 . The ventilation device as claimed in claim 6 , wherein said window frame of said window has an abutment portion that extends inwardly, said window pane being placed on and abutting against said abutment portion.
8 . The ventilation device as claimed in claim 5 , wherein:
each of said guiding bars has an inner side plate that is adjacent to said air chamber, an outer side plate that is spaced apart from said inner side plate, a top plate that is proximate to said outlet and that interconnects top ends of said inner and outer side plates, and a bottom plate that interconnects bottom ends of said inner and outer side plates, said inner side plate, said outer side plate, said top plate, and said bottom plate extending in the first direction, said blocking plates of each of said ventilating units being formed with the staggered arrangement on said inner and outer side plates within the respective one said guiding bars; and said vent slot set of each of said vent units being formed in said inner side plate of the respective one of said guiding bars, said vent hole set of each of said vent units being formed in said bottom plate of the respective one of said guiding bars.
9 . The ventilation device as claimed in claim 5 , wherein, for each of said vent units, said vent slot set has a plurality of said vent slots that are spaced apart in the first direction, and said vent hole set has a plurality of spaced-apart vent holes.
10 . The ventilation device as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said vent hole set has at least one vent hole having an opening that fluidly communicates with said air chamber through said at least one vent slot, a ratio between an area of said opening of said outlet to an area of said opening of said at least one vent hole being more than 3.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
