Abstract

A liquid crystal display device including a first substrate including a first display electrode and a second display electrode that is disposed opposite the first display electrode with an insulator interposed between the first display electrode and the second display electrode, a second substrate disposed opposite the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate. The first display electrode includes a plurality of first openings in each pixel, and an interior angle of at least one apex constituting the first opening is different from interior angles of another apex in each of the plurality of first openings.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 16 . (canceled)

17 . A liquid crystal display device comprising:
a first substrate including a first display electrode and a second display electrode that is disposed opposite the first display electrode with an insulator interposed between the first display electrode and the second display electrode; a second substrate disposed opposite the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the first display electrode includes a first opening and a second opening being adjacent to the first opening in each pixel, the second display electrode includes a third opening and a fourth opening being adjacent to the third opening in each pixel, and the third opening and the fourth opening are disposed between the first opening and the second opening in planar view.

18 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 17 ,
wherein a size of the third opening is smaller than a size of the fourth opening.

19 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 17 ,
wherein the first opening and the second opening are disposed in parallel to each other, and the first opening are disposed such that a long direction of the first opening is parallel to a short direction of the pixel.

20 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 17 ,
wherein the third opening and the fourth opening are disposed in parallel to each other, and the third opening are disposed such that a long direction of the third opening is parallel to a long direction of the pixel.

21 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 17 ,
wherein the third opening overlaps both of the first opening and the second opening in planar view.

22 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 21 ,
wherein the fourth opening overlaps both of the first opening and the second opening in planar view.

23 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 17 ,
wherein the third opening does not overlap both of the first opening and the second opening.

24 . The liquid crystal display device according to claim 23 ,
wherein the fourth opening does not overlap both of the first opening and the second opening.

25 . A liquid crystal display device comprising:
a first substrate including a first display electrode and a second display electrode that is disposed opposite the first display electrode with an insulator interposed between the first display electrode and the second display electrode; a second substrate disposed opposite the first substrate; and a liquid crystal layer disposed between the first substrate and the second substrate, wherein the first display electrode includes a first opening and a second opening being adjacent to the first opening in each pixel, the second display electrode includes a third opening, the third opening is disposed between the first opening and the second opening in planar view, and the third opening overlaps both of the first opening and the second opening in planar view.
