         13 . The method of  claim 9  for treating cancer, comprising the step of administering to a subject suffering or suspected to suffer from cancer an effective amount of the dye-drug conjugate, and optionally imaging the subject or a sample of the subject.

The method of  claim 8  for diagnosing or detecting cancer, comprising the step of administering to a subject suffering or suspected to suffer from cancer, or to a sample of the subject, an effective amount of a dye-drug conjugate, and imaging the subject or a sample of the subject.
