Abstract

Methods for streaming video, comprising: using narrow-band accessible live video streaming to produce a video stream; locally buffering the video stream at a device capable of presenting media content; regularly pinging connections of the devices; and auto-optimize settings of the connections based on connection speeds of the connections by: changing frame rates of the connections; and turning-off video while leaving audio on when quality of one or more of the connections drops below a threshold.

         1 . A method for streaming video, comprising:
 using narrow-band accessible live video streaming to produce a video stream;   locally buffering the video stream at a device capable of presenting media content;   regularly pinging connections of the devices; and   auto-optimize settings of the connections based on connection speeds of the connections by: changing frame rates of the connections; and   turning-off video while leaving audio on when quality of one or more of the connections drops below a threshold.
