Abstract

A portable chair; the portable chair includes a seat-panel, a first side-panel, a second side-panel, a rear-panel and a front-panel. The portable chair is insertable into a shopping cart seat or a high chair and for use by an infant (occupant). The portable chair provides a soft collapsible child seat insert for shopping carts and high chairs designed to offer additional comfort and support for an infant.

What is claimed is new and desired to be protected by Letters Patent is set forth in the appended claims: 
     
         1 . A portable chair for insertion into a user supporting-structure, the user supporting-structure including a structure-frame having a seat, a front support-section and a rear support-section, the front support-section and the rear-support section being relative to the user when the user is seated within the user supporting structure, the portable chair comprising:
 a seat-panel configured for placement over the seat of the structure-frame;   a first side-panel extending upwardly from the seat-panel at a first-side of the seat-panel;   a second side-panel extending upwardly from the seat-panel at a second-side of the seat-panel, the second side-panel being opposite the first side-panel;   a rear-panel extending upwardly from the seat-panel at a rear of the seat-panel, the rear-panel configured to rest against the rear support-section of the structure-frame;   a front-panel including a horizonal-length and a vertical-length extending from a mid-section of the horizontal-length, the horizonal-length being attached to the first side-panel at a first horizontal-end, the horizonal-length further being attached to the second side-panel at a second horizontal-end, the vertical-length being attached to the mid-section of the horizontal-length at a first vertical-end, the vertical-length further being attached to the seat-panel at a second vertical-end, the horizontal-length and the vertical-length together defining leg-openings configured to allow legs of the user to extend therethrough, and wherein the horizontal-length includes at least one attachment-means configured to attach the front-panel to the front support-section of the frame-structure.   
     
     
         2 . The portable chair of  claim 1 , wherein the user supporting-structure is a shopping cart. 
     
     
         3 . The portable chair of  claim 1 , wherein the horizontal-length includes at least one flap configured to attach the front-panel to the front support-section. 
     
     
         4 . The portable chair of  claim 3 , wherein the at least one flap includes hook and loop fastener. 
     
     
         5 . The portable chair of  claim 4 , wherein the at least one flap comprises exactly two flaps. 
     
     
         6 . The portable chair of  claim 1 , wherein the user supporting-structure is a high chair. 
     
     
         7 . The portable chair of  claim 1 , further comprising a first fastener attached to the first side-panel and configured to attach the first side-panel to the user supporting-structure. 
     
     
         8 . The portable chair of  claim 1 , further comprising a second fastener attached to the second side-panel and configured to attach the second side-panel to the user supporting-structure. 
     
     
         9 . The portable chair of  claim 1 , further comprising third fastener attached to the rear-panel. 
     
     
         10 . The portable chair of  claim 8 , wherein the first fastener and the second fastener are a first tie and a second tie, respectively. 
     
     
         11 . The portable chair of  claim 9 , wherein the third fastener is a strap. 
     
     
         12 . The portable chair of  claim 11 , wherein the strap includes hook and loop fastener. 
     
     
         13 . The portable chair of  claim 1 , wherein the first side-panel includes a first storage means. 
     
     
         14 . The portable chair of  claim 1 , wherein the second side-panel includes a second storage means. 
     
     
         15 . The portable chair of  claim 14 , wherein the first storage means and the second storage means is a first pocket and a second pocket, respectively. 
     
     
         16 . The portable chair of  claim 1 , further comprising a harness means configured to secure a user to the portable chair. 
     
     
         17 . The portable chair of  claim 1 , wherein the seat-panel, the first side-panel, the second side-panel, the rear-panel and the front-panel include padding. 
     
     
         18 . The portable chair of  claim 17 , wherein the padding comprises a foam material. 
     
     
         19 . A portable chair for insertion into a user supporting-structure, the user supporting-structure including a structure-frame having a seat, a front support-section and a rear support-section, the front support-section and the rear-support section being relative to the user when the user is seated within the user supporting structure, the portable chair comprising:
 a seat-panel configured for placement over the seat of the structure-frame;   a first side-panel extending upwardly from the seat-panel at a first-side of the seat-panel;   a second side-panel extending upwardly from the seat-panel at a second-side of the seat-panel, the second side-panel being opposite the first side-panel;   a rear-panel extending upwardly from the seat-panel at a rear of the seat-panel, the rear-panel configured to rest against the rear support-section of the structure-frame;   a front-panel including a horizonal-length and a vertical-length extending from a mid-section of the horizontal-length, the horizonal-length being attached to the first side-panel at a first horizontal-end, the horizonal-length further being attached to the second side-panel at a second horizontal-end, the vertical-length being attached to the mid-section of the horizontal-length at a first vertical-end, the vertical-length further being attached to the seat-panel at a second vertical-end, the horizontal-length and the vertical-length together defining leg-openings configured to allow legs of the user to extend therethrough, and wherein the horizontal-length includes at least one attachment-means configured to attach the front-panel to the front support-section of the frame-structure;   a first fastener attached to the first side-panel and configured to attach the first side-panel to the user supporting-structure;   a second fastener attached to the second side-panel and configured to attach the second side-panel to the user supporting-structure;   a third fastener attached to the rear-panel; and   a harness means configured to secure a user to the portable chair; and   wherein the at least one attachment-means includes at least one flap;   wherein the at least one flap includes hook and loop fastener;   wherein the at least one flap comprises exactly two of said flaps;   wherein the first fastener and the second fastener are a first tie and a second tie, respectively;   wherein the third fastener is a strap;   wherein the strap includes hook and loop fastener;   wherein the first side-panel includes a first storage means;   wherein the second side-panel includes a second storage means;   wherein the seat-panel, the first side-panel, the second side-panel, the rear-panel and the front-panel include padding; and   wherein the padding is a foam material.   
     
     
         20 . A method of using a portable chair for insertion into a user supporting structure, the user supporting-structure including a structure-frame having a seat, a front support-section and a rear support-section, the front support-section and the rear-support section being relative to the user when the user is seated within the user supporting structure, the method comprising the steps of:
 providing the portable chair for insertion into the user supporting structure, the portable chair including:
 a seat-panel configured for placement over the seat of the structure-frame; 
 a first side-panel extending upwardly from the seat-panel at a first-side of the seat-panel; 
 a second side-panel extending upwardly from the seat-panel at a second-side of the seat-panel, the second side-panel being opposite the first side-panel; 
 a rear-panel extending upwardly from the seat-panel at a rear of the seat-panel, the rear-panel configured to rest against the rear support-section of the structure-frame; 
 a front-panel including a horizonal-length and a vertical-length extending from a mid-section of the horizontal-length, the horizonal-length being attached to the first side-panel at a first horizontal-end, the horizonal-length further being attached to the second side-panel at a second horizontal-end, the vertical-length being attached to the mid-section of the horizontal-length at a first vertical-end, the vertical-length further being attached to the seat-panel at a second vertical-end, the horizontal-length and the vertical-length together defining leg-openings configured to allow legs of the user to extend therethrough, and wherein the horizontal-length includes at least one attachment-means configured to attach the front-panel to the front support-section of the frame-structure; 
   placing the seat-panel over the seat of the structure-frame;   attaching the front-panel to the front support-section via the at least one attachment-means; and   securing a user within the portable chair.
