Abstract
A tobacco article including at least one flavoring insert, wherein flavor can be released from the at least one insert by applying pressure.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A tobacco article, comprising:
a) an elongated cigar shell having an interior; b) a quantity of smokable tobacco filler material contained in the shell interior; c) multiple spaced apart spherical flavoring inserts contained in the said shell, each of the said flavoring inserts surrounded by said tobacco filler material, each of the said flavoring inserts separated from another of the said flavoring inserts by some of said tobacco filler material and in contact with some of said tobacco filler material, each of the said flavoring inserts including a flavoring which is released into the smokable tobacco filler by a user applying pressure on a selected one of said flavoring inserts; d) wherein each of the said flavoring inserts are sufficiently spaced apart by said tobacco filler material so that a selected one of the said flavoring inserts can be pressured and ruptured to release the contained flavoring without rupturing and releasing the flavoring of another of said multiple flavoring inserts; e) wherein the smokable tobacco filler material and released flavoring are so positioned that they both burn when the tobacco article is smoked by a user; and f) multiple indicia that indicate to the user the position of each of the said flavoring inserts, wherein each indicia is next to each of the said flavoring inserts and spaced away from other of said indicia.
2 . The tobacco article of claim 1 , wherein each said indicia visually indicates the position of each of the said flavoring inserts in a form of arrows, and instructions on how to release flavoring, wherein said instructions include instructions that give a user the option of not releasing the flavoring of said inserts.
3 . The tobacco article of claim 2 , wherein the shell is packaged in a container, and wherein the container includes instructions on how to release the flavoring and instructions on how to achieve different strengths of flavoring.
4 . The tobacco article of claim 1 , wherein at least two of the inserts include different flavorings.
5 . The tobacco article of claim 1 , wherein at least two of the inserts are of different sizes.
6 . A method of constructing tobacco article comprising the steps of:
a) providing a cigar tube shell having a hollow bore which is filled with a smokable tobacco filler material, the tube shell comprised of a smokable material; b) placing a plurality of spherical flavoring inserts in the smokable tobacco filler material of the hollow bore of the cigar tube shell, and spaced about the longitudinal length of the bore, each of the said inserts spaced apart from another of the said inserts by some of the tobacco filler material and in contact with some of the tobacco filler material, each of the said inserts including a flavoring which is released by a user applying pressure on a selected one of said plurality of flavoring inserts; c) applying pressure on a selected first of said flavoring inserts to rupture said first insert, releasing the flavor into the smokable tobacco filler material; d) wherein in step “c” at least a second of said flavoring inserts is spaced far enough from the said first insert by said tobacco filler material so that it does not release its flavor to the smokable tobacco filler unless it is also pressured and ruptured by the user after step “c”; and e) labeling the position of each of the said inserts with an indicia that gives the user the option of releasing the flavoring of a selected insert of said inserts by applying pressure next to said indicia or not applying pressure.
7 . The method of claim 6 , wherein in step “a” the at least one of the said inserts is individually packaged so as to be separated from the smokable tobacco filler material.
8 . The method of claim 7 , further comprising the step of packaging the shell in a package that includes separate instructions for each said first and second inserts on how to release the flavoring and instructions on how to achieve different strengths of flavoring.
9 . The method of claim 6 , wherein in step “a” at least two of the inserts include different flavorings.
10 . The method of claim 6 , wherein in step “a” at least two of the inserts are of different colors indicating different flavors.
11 . The tobacco article of claim 6 wherein the shell has an outer surface with indicia that indicate to a user the location of each of the said inserts.
12 . A tobacco article that is smokable by a user, comprising:
a) an elongated cigar shell having an interior; b) a quantity of smokable tobacco filler material that is not said shell and contained in the interior; c) multiple spherical flavoring inserts contained in said shell interior, each of the inserts spaced apart from another of said inserts by some of said tobacco filler material and in contact with some of said tobacco filler material; d) each of the inserts including a flavoring which is released into the smokable tobacco filler by the user applying pressure to a selected one of said inserts; e) an indicia on the outside of the cigar that indicates to a user the location of each of the inserts; f) wherein the inserts are sufficiently spaced apart with said tobacco filler material so that each one of the inserts can be pressured and ruptured by the user to release the contained flavoring without simultaneously rupturing and releasing the flavoring of another of the inserts; g) wherein the smokable tobacco filler and released flavoring are so positioned that they both burn when the tobacco article is smoked by the user; and h) multiple indicia that indicate to the user the position of each said flavoring inserts, wherein each indicia is next to one of the said inserts and spaced away from other of said indicia.
13 . The tobacco article of claim 12 , wherein at least two of the inserts are of different sizes.
14 . The tobacco article of claim 12 , wherein at least one of the inserts is individually packaged so as to be separated from the smokable tobacco filler.
15 . The tobacco article of claim 12 , further comprising a package and wherein a plurality of inserts are packaged in said package so as to be separated from other said inserts.
16 . The tobacco article of claim 12 , wherein at least two of the inserts include different flavorings.
17 . A tobacco article that is smokable by a user, comprising:
a) an elongated cigar shell having an interior; b) a quantity of smokable tobacco filler material contained in the interior; c) one or more spherical flavoring inserts contained in the said interior and at spaced apart positions, said inserts surrounded by and in contact with said tobacco filler material, each of the said inserts spaced from another of said inserts by some of said tobacco filler material, said inserts including a flavoring which is released into the smokable tobacco filler by the user applying pressure on the inserts; d) multiple indicia on the outside of the cigar wherein each indicia indicates to a user the location of said inserts; e) wherein each said indicia is located next to one of said inserts; f) wherein the smokable tobacco filler and released flavoring are so positioned that they both burn when the tobacco article is smoked; and g) wherein said inserts are sufficiently spaced apart from other of said inserts so that one of said inserts can be pressured by the user to release the contained flavoring without the user simultaneously releasing the flavoring of another of the said inserts.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
