         6 . The method of claim 1 , further comprising determining, at the service provider server and using the pattern identifying module, an identity of the user based on the received browsing navigation events, the received browsing selection events, or the received purchase events.

         7 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the browsing navigation events and the browsing selection events are associated with both merchant and non-merchant sites.

         8 . A system comprising:
 a non-transitory memory; and one or more hardware processors coupled to the non-transitory memory and configured to read instructions from the non-transitory memory to cause the system to perform operations comprising:
 receiving, by a server and via a network interface, a record of navigation and selection events made by a user on a user device using a user interface application, the navigation and selection events including navigation and selection events associated with content provided by social networking providers and merchant providers;
 receiving, by the server, information associated with purchases made by the user;
 using, by the server, a pattern analysis module, to identify a type of good or service based on the received navigation events, the received selection events, and the received purchase event information; and
 providing, by the server to the user on the user device, a recommendation of a good or service of the identified type.

         9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise providing, by the server to the user on the user device an advertisement, a coupon, a commercial, or an offer for the recommended good or service of the identified type.

         11 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the navigation and selection events further include navigation and selection events associated with content provided by information resource providers.

         12 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise using, by the server, the pattern analysis module, to identify an identity of the user based on the received navigation events, the received selection events, or the received purchase event information.

         13 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the navigation and selection events are associated with content from both merchant and non-merchant providers.

         14 . A non-transitory machine-readable medium having stored thereon machine-readable instructions executable to cause a machine to perform operations comprising:
 accessing a record of navigation and selection events made by a user on a user device using a user interface application, the navigation and selection events including navigation and selection events associated with social networking providers and merchant providers accessing information associated with purchase events made by the user on the user device; determining an identify of the user based on the accessed navigation and selection events and the information associated with the purchase events; and authenticate the user with an account based on the determined identity; wherein the machine is associated with a service provider server.

         15 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the operations further comprise associating the user device with the account.

         16 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the navigation and selection events further include navigation and selection events associated with information resource sites.

         17 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the navigation and selection events are associated with both merchant and non-merchant providers.

         18 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 14 , wherein the operations further comprised providing content to the user on the user device based on the determined identity.

         19 . The non-transitory machine-readable medium of claim 18 , wherein the provided content comprises a recommendation for a good, a service, or a website.
