Abstract

A tab for a toilet seat/cover is used to provide an alternative, more sanitary mechanism for lifting a toilet seat or a toilet seat cover. The apparatus is also configured to attach to any shape or variety of toilet seat or seat cover. The apparatus comprises a flexible base, a handle, a fixture, and a fastening mechanism. The flexible base is a rubber or other generally flexible material capable of bending to fit the shape of a variety of seats and surfaces. The handle is a graspable protrusion extending from the base that provides a convenient and intuitive mechanism for interacting with the apparatus. The fixture is the joint that connects the handle to the flexible base. The fastening mechanism is the component which allows the flexible base to connect to toilet seats, lids, and surfaces.
