Abstract

A method and system for voice identification and validation is provided. Other embodiments are disclosed. The system registers one or more users on a social media platform with login information during a social media session, acquires a voice sample at any time of the social media session or a continuation of the social media session, associates the login information and the voice sample in a profile for each of the one or more users, stores the profile as a voice print in a voice print identifier database, and identifies at least one talker from an interfacing of the social media platform with the voice print identifier database. Other embodiments are provided.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
We claim:

         1 . A system, comprising:
 a server that performs operations comprising:
 acquiring a first voice sample of a user and device-specific information associated with a first device utilized during a media session occurring on a media platform;
 associating with the first voice sample and the device-specific information with a profile for the user;
 storing the profile as a voice print in the system;
 capturing a second voice sample of a talker in proximity to a second device of a different user; and
 facilitating identification of the talker in proximity to the second device of the different user by comparing the second voice sample to first voice sample and the device-specific information in the voice print.

         2 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise retrieving the profile of the voice print upon identifying the talker in proximity to the second device.

         3 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise accessing a social media associated with login information associated with the profile to facilitating the identification of the talker.

         4 . The system of claim 3 , wherein the operations further comprise searching the social media for an established connection to a voice print identifier database associated with the voice print stored in the system.

         5 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise corroborating the profile with social media to validate an identity of the talker.

         6 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise modifying an access control to the first device in response to detecting and verifying an identity of the talker.

         7 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the operation of modifying the access control further comprises changing and entering a login credential, changing and entering account information, changing and entering a device control, changing and entering a personal preference, or a combination thereof.

         8 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise accessing a contact list associated with the talker.

         9 . The system of claim 8 , wherein the operations further comprise narrowing a searching extent for confirming an identity of the talker by utilizing the contact list.

         10 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise prompting the user to provide the first voice sample during the media session.

         11 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the voice print includes a distillation of speech in the first voice sample that contains information associated with an identity of the user.

         12 . The system of claim 1 , wherein the operations further comprise identifying the talker based on a characteristic of a voice of the talker included in the second sample.

         13 . A method, comprising:
 acquiring a first voice sample of a user and device-specific information associated with a first device utilized during a media session occurring on a media platform; associating with the first voice sample and the device-specific information with a profile for the user; storing the profile as a voice print in the system; capturing a second voice sample of a talker in proximity to a second device of a different user; and facilitating, by utilizing a server, identification of the talker in proximity to the second device of the different user by comparing the second voice sample to first voice sample and the device-specific information in the voice print.

         14 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising receiving a request from the user to opt-in to a voice identification application.

         15 . The method of claim 14 , further comprising requesting the user to register with the voice identification application after the user opts-in to the voice identification application.

         16 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising requesting access to social networking data of the user.

         17 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising soliciting contacts in a contact list of the user to solicit opt-ins from each of the contacts.

         18 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising enabling an opt-in indication from the user, wherein the opt-in indication authorizes a third party social media user to use the media platform to identify the user by detecting a voice of the user.

         19 . The method of claim 13 , further comprising presenting the identification of the talker.

         20 . A system, comprising:
 a server that performs operations comprising:
 obtaining a first voice sample of a user and device-specific information associated with a first device utilized during a media session occurring on a media platform;
 associating with the first voice sample and the device-specific information with a profile for the user;
 capturing a second voice sample of a talker in proximity to a second device of a different user; and
 facilitating identification of the talker in proximity to the second device of the different user by comparing the second voice sample to first voice sample and the device-specific information.
