Abstract
A moisture control garment formed of a material that has moisture wicking (hydrophobic) properties joined to another material that has moisture absorbing (hydrophilic) properties. In certain embodiments, the moisture wicking and moisture absorbing materials are of similar thickness, have the same estimated shrinkage percentage, and the fibers of such materials are positioned in the same direction.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedThe invention claimed is:
1 . A moisture control garment comprising:
a first material specifically engineered to provide enhanced moisture wicking properties, having an inner side surface in contact with the wearer's body and an outer side surface; and a second material having hydrophilic and moisture absorbing properties having an inner and outer surface; wherein the second material overlays the first material at selective sections of the garment, such that the inner surface of the second material faces the outer side surface of the first material; and wherein the combination of the first and second material efficiently remove moisture from the garment.
2 . The moisture control garment as in claim 1 , wherein the knap of the first material and the knap of the second material are in the same direction.
3 . The moisture control garment of claim 1 , wherein the shrinkage difference between the two materials is less than 2%.
4 . The moisture control garment of claim 1 , wherein said garment is a pair of shorts, and said second material overlays the first material at the hip, leg, or lower back sections of the garment.
5 . The moisture control garment of claim 1 , wherein said garment is a shirt, and said second material overlays the first material at the garment's shoulder.
6 . A moisture control garment comprising:
a first material having hydrophobic properties and specifically engineered to provide enhanced moisture wicking properties, having an inner side surface in contact with the wearer's body and an outer side surface; and a second material having hydrophilic and moisture absorbing properties having an inner and outer surface; wherein the second material is adjacent to the first material at selective sections of the garment, such that the outer side surface of the first material and the outer surface of the second material are substantially coplanar; and wherein the combination of the first and second material efficiently remove moisture from the garment.
7 . The moisture control garment as in claim 6 , wherein the knap of the first material and the knap of the second material are in the same direction.
8 . The moisture control garment of claim 6 , wherein the shrinkage difference between the two materials is less than 2%.
9 . The moisture control garment of claim 6 , wherein said garment is a pair of shorts, and said second material overlays the first material at the hip, leg, or lower back sections of the garment.
10 . The moisture control garment of claim 6 , wherein said garment is a shirt, and said second material overlays the first material at the shoulders garment.
11 . The moisture control garment of claim 6 , wherein the first and second material are joined by a sewn seam.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
