Abstract

A portable bag dispenser assembly for selectively dispensing bags includes a housing that has a first lateral wall, a second lateral wall and a peripheral wall that extends between and is attached to the first lateral wall and the second lateral wall. The peripheral wall has a slot that extends into an interior of the housing. A dispensing unit is mounted in the housing and is actuated to selectively release bags outwardly from the interior of the housing. An actuator is mounted on the housing and is electrically coupled to the dispensing unit. The actuator is actuated to turn on the dispensing unit. A power supply is electrically coupled to the actuator. A mount is attached to the housing and engages a belt worn by a person.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A bag dispensing assembly comprising:
 a housing having a first lateral wall, a second lateral wall and a peripheral wall extending between and being attached to said first lateral wall and said second lateral wall, said peripheral wall having a slot extending into an interior of said housing; a dispensing unit being mounted in said housing, said dispensing unit being actuated to selectively release bags outwardly from said interior of said housing; an actuator being mounted on said housing and being electrically coupled to said dispensing unit, said actuator being actuated to turn on said dispensing unit; a power supply being electrically coupled to said actuator; and a mount being attached to said housing and being configured to engage a belt worn by a person.

         2 . The bag dispensing assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said slot is elongated along a line extending between said first and said second lateral walls.

         3 . The bag dispensing assembly according to claim 2 , wherein said first lateral wall is removably coupled to said peripheral wall and exposing said interior of said housing when removed.

         4 . The bag dispensing assembly according to claim 3 , wherein said dispensing unit comprises:
 a motor; an axle being mechanically coupled to said motor, said axle rotating in a first direction when said motor is turned on; and a plurality of bags, each of said bags being releasably attached to at least one other of said bags and wound up to define a roll of said bags, said roll being positioned on said axle.

         5 . The bag dispensing assembly according to claim 4 , wherein a free end of said roll is extended outwardly of said housing through said slot, said free end moving away from said housing when said axle rotates in said first direction to define an exposed bag, said exposed bag being removable from said roll.

         6 . The bag dispensing assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said power supply comprises at least one battery.

         7 . The bag dispensing assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said peripheral wall has an access door therein for accessing said power supply.

         8 . The bag dispensing assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said mount is positioned on and extending outwardly from said peripheral wall, said mount comprising a clip.

         9 . A bag dispensing assembly comprising:
 a housing having a first lateral wall, a second lateral wall and a peripheral wall extending between and being attached to said first lateral wall and said second lateral wall, said peripheral wall having a slot extending into an interior of said housing, said slot being elongated along a line extending between said first and said second lateral walls, said first lateral wall being removably coupled to said peripheral wall and exposing said interior of said housing when removed; a dispensing unit being mounted in said housing, said dispensing unit being actuated to selectively release bags outwardly from said interior of said housing, said dispensing unit comprising:
 a motor;
 an axle being mechanically coupled to said motor, said axle rotating in a first direction when said motor is turned on;
 a plurality of bags, each of said bags being releasably attached to at least one other of said bags and wound up to define a roll of said bags, said roll being positioned on said axle, a free end of said roll being extended outwardly of said housing through said slot, said free end moving away from said housing when said axle rotates in said first direction to define an exposed bag, said exposed bag being removable from said roll;
   an actuator being mounted on said housing and being electrically coupled to said dispensing unit, said actuator being actuated to turn on said dispensing unit; a power supply being electrically coupled to said actuator, said power supply comprising at least one battery, said peripheral wall having an access door therein for accessing said power supply; and a mount being attached to said housing and being configured to engage a belt worn by a person, said mount being positioned on and extending outwardly from said peripheral wall, said mount comprising a clip.
