Abstract

Systems and techniques for enabling authentication for payment for an object associated with Augmented Reality (AR) object sharing between a first party and a second party include receiving, by a first party device, an input from the first party corresponding to a selection of an object. The techniques also include receiving, by the first party device, a request from the first party to the second party for approval of payment for the selected object. Furthermore, the techniques also include transmitting, by a network server to a second party device, the request for approval of the payment for the selected object. Moreover, the techniques include receiving, by the network server from the second party device, an authentication result including a determination by the second party of approval or rejection of payment for the selected object.

Claims

What is claimed is:

1 . A computer-implemented method for seeking authentication for payment in relation to Augmented Reality (AR) object sharing between a first party and a second party, wherein the computer-implemented method is performed by at least one processor and at least one memory including computer program code, said computer-implemented method comprising:
receiving, from a first party device, an input from the first party corresponding to a selection of an object; receiving, from the first party device, a request from the first party to the second party for approval of payment for the selected object; transmitting, by a network server to a second party device, the request for approval of the payment for the selected object; and receiving, by the network server from the second party device, an authentication result including a determination by the second party of approval or rejection of payment for the selected object.

2 . The computer-implemented method in accordance with claim 1 , further comprising:
based on receiving, from the second party device, an authentication result rejecting the payment for the selected object, transmitting, by the network server to the first party device, an option for the first party to revise the selection of the object.

3 . The computer-implemented method in accordance with claim 1 , further comprising:
based on receiving, from the second party device, an authentication result approving the payment for the selected object, transmitting, to the first party device, the authentication result for display to the first party.

4 . The computer-implemented method in accordance with claim 3 , further comprising:
determining, by the network server, whether approval from a third party is required before payment for the selected object is finalized.

5 . The computer-implemented method in accordance with claim 4 , further comprising:
upon determining that approval from the third party is required, providing, by the network server to a third party device, the request for approval of payment for the selected object.

6 . The computer-implemented method in accordance with claim 5 , further comprising:
receiving, by the network server from the third party device, a second authentication result including a determination of approval or rejection of payment for the selected object.

7 . The computer-implemented method in accordance with claim 6 , further comprising:
providing, by the network server to an issuer server, an instruction to proceed with payment for the selected object in response to receiving the second authentication result of a determination of approval of payment for the selected object.

8 . The computer-implemented method in accordance with claim 6 , further comprising:
transmitting, to the first party device, an option for the first party to revise the selection of the object in response to receiving, by the network server, the second authentication result of a determination of rejection of payment for the selected object.

9 . The computer-implemented method in accordance with claim 6 , further comprising:
in response to receiving the second authentication result of a determination of rejection of payment for the selected object, transmitting, to the second party device, an option for the second party to take responsibility for payment for the selected object and proceed with the payment without receiving an approval from the third party.

10 . The computer-implemented method in accordance with claim 1 , further comprising:
based on receiving, from the network server, an authentication result approving the payment for the selected object, providing, by the network server to an issuer server, an instruction to proceed with payment for the selected object.

11 . A network server enabling authentication for payment for an object associated with Augmented Reality (AR) object sharing between a first party and a second party, said network server comprising:
a memory including computer program code stored thereon; and a processor programmed to execute the computer program code, the computer code, when executed by the processor, causes the processor to:
 receive, from a first party device, an input from the first party corresponding to a selection of the object;
 receive, from the first party device, a request from the first party to the second party for approval of the payment for the selected object;
transmit, to a second party device, the request for approval of the payment for the selected object; and
receive, from the second party device, an authentication result approving or rejecting the payment for the selected object.

12 . The network server in accordance with claim 11 , the computer code further causing the processor to:
based on receiving, from the second party device, an authentication result approving the payment for the selected object, transmit, to the first party device, the authentication result for display to the first party.

13 . The network server in accordance with claim 11 , the computer code further causing the processor to:
based on receiving, from the second party device, an authentication result rejecting the payment for the selected object, transmit, to the first party device, an option for the first party to revise the selection of the object.

14 . The network server in accordance with claim 13 , the computer code further causing the processor to:
determine whether approval from a third party is required before payment for the selected object is finalized.

15 . The network server in accordance with claim 14 , the computer code further causing the processor to:
based on a determination that approval from the third party is required, transmit, to a third party device, the request for approval of the payment for the selected object.

16 . The network server in accordance with claim 15 , the computer code further causing the processor to:
receive, from the third party device, a second authentication result including a determination of approval or rejection of the payment for the selected object.

17 . The network server in accordance with claim 16 , the computer code further causing the processor to:
based on receiving, from the third party device, the second authentication result approving the payment for the selected object, transmit, to an issuer server, an instruction to proceed with the payment for the selected object.

18 . The network server in accordance with claim 16 , the computer code further causing the processor to:
based on receiving, from the third party device, the second authentication result rejecting the payment for the selected object, transmit, to the first party device, the option for the first party to revise the selection of the object.
