Abstract

Computer-implemented systems, methods, and computer-readable media for executing a logic on a computing device and protecting the logic against reverse-engineering include creating a deterministic environment to produce a fixed set of time-varying system states, and interpreting and executing a time map based on the fixed set of time-varying system states, the time map being transformed from the logic based on the fixed set of time-varying system states in a protected, deterministic environment.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A method for executing a logic on a computing device and protecting the logic against reverse-engineering, the method comprising:
creating a deterministic environment to produce a fixed set of time-varying system states, and interpreting and executing a time map based on the fixed set of time-varying system states; wherein the time map was transformed from the logic based on the fixed set of time-varying system states in a protected, deterministic environment.

2 . The method of claim 1 , wherein creating the deterministic environment comprises at least one of disabling interrupts and locking down the system bus.

3 . The method of claim 1 , wherein the fixed set of time-varying system states include values from a performance counter of a processor of the computing device.

4 . The method of claim 3 , wherein creating the deterministic environment comprises at least one of disabling interrupts and locking down the system bus.

5 . A computer system for executing a logic and protecting the logic against reverse engineering, the system comprising:
one or more processors configured to:
create a deterministic environment to produce a fixed set of time-varying system states, and
 interpret and execute a time map based on the fixed set of time-varying system states;
wherein the time map was transformed from the logic based on the fixed set of time-varying system states in a protected, deterministic environment.

6 . The computer system of claim 5 , wherein creating the deterministic environment comprises at least one of disabling interrupts and locking down the system bus.

7 . The computer system of claim 5 , wherein the fixed set of time-varying system states include values from a performance counter of a processor of the computing device.

8 . The computer system of claim 7 , wherein creating the deterministic environment comprises at least one of disabling interrupts and locking down the system bus.

9 . A non-transitory computer-readable medium having computer-readable code stored thereon that, when executed, performs the method:
creating a deterministic environment to produce a fixed set of time-varying system states, and interpreting and executing a time map based on the fixed set of time-varying system states; wherein the time map was transformed from the logic based on the fixed set of time-varying system states in a protected, deterministic environment.

10 . The computer-readable medium of claim 9 , wherein creating the deterministic environment comprises at least one of disabling interrupts and locking down the system bus.

11 . The computer-readable medium of claim 9 , wherein the fixed set of time-varying system states include values from a performance counter of a processor of the computing device.

12 . The computer-readable medium of claim 11 , wherein creating the deterministic environment comprises at least one of disabling interrupts and locking down the system bus.
