Abstract

A two-dimension fan adjusting assemble having a support that is slidably engaged to the fan housing by pins and slidably engaged to a hanger by clamps, allowing a two-dimensional positioning of the fan housing in a construction wall.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
What is claimed is:

1 . An adjusting fan assembling having two degrees of freedom comprising
a fan housing, defining a housing axis along the height of the housing, wherein the housing is provided with a first cutout and a second cutout disposed each on opposing sides of the housing the cutouts extending along the housing height, preferably close to the end of a lower edge of the housing, a first support and a second support, having an outer face disposed on the opposite side of the inner face of the support, comprising pins that engage to the fan housing, a first hanger and a second hanger, both configured to mount the housing, the first hanger and the second hanger having a longitudinal length defining a hanger axis and having an outer surface provided with a gap that is configured to receive the support, wherein the support clamps secure and slidably engages the supports to the hangers, the pins secure and slidably engages the supports to the fan housing, providing the fan housing with two degrees of freedom for its positioning relative to the joists or to a surface.

2 . The adjusting fan assembling from claim 1 , wherein the first cutout is provided with a first channel at the inner side of the housing and the second cutout is provided with a second channel at the inner side of the housing, said channels having grooves that engage to the pin allowing the pin to slide through the channel parallel and along the housing axis.

3 . The adjusting fan assembling from claim 1 , wherein the surface is a wall, drywall or a ceiling.

4 . The adjusting fan assembling from claim 1 , wherein the first support and the second support are provided with horizontal side walls arranged in parallel and with openings forming a “C” type clamp, having an outer face disposed on the opposite side of the inner face of the support.

5 . The adjusting fan assembling from claim 1 , wherein the pins are screws.

6 . The adjusting fan assembling from claim 1 , wherein the pins are screws provided with nuts that enable adjusting the tightness of the grip between the supports and the fan housing.
