Abstract

Devices and methods are disclosed for delivering multiple medicaments from multiple reservoirs to a patient. The devices and methods may be configured to prevent or reduce the incidence of a user transferring a fluid to or from an incorrect reservoir.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 - 13 . (canceled)

14 . An infusion pump system, comprising:
a first medicament container configured to contain a first medicament; a second medicament container configured to contain a second medicament; and an infusion pump including a first reservoir channel and a second reservoir channel, the first reservoir channel configured to receive the first medicament and the second reservoir channel configured to receive the second medicament for delivery to a user by the infusion pump, wherein the first medicament container has a first outer transverse diameter and the second first medicament container has a second outer transverse diameter larger than the first outer transverse diameter of the first medicament container, and wherein the first reservoir channel is configured such that it is too small to receive the second outer transverse diameter of the second medicament container.

15 . The infusion pump system of claim 14 , wherein the second reservoir channel is configured such that it is larger than the first outer transverse diameter of the first medicament container.

16 . The infusion pump system of claim 14 , further comprising a first fluid tubing extending from the infusion pump to deliver the first medicament and a second fluid tubing extending from the infusion pump to deliver the second medicament.

17 . The infusion pump system of claim 14 , wherein the first medicament container is configured to contain insulin as the first medicament and the second medicament container is configured to contain glucagon as the second medicament.

18 . The infusion pump system of claim 14 , wherein the infusion pump is configured to independently dispense the first medicament and the second medicament.

19 . The infusion pump system of claim 18 , wherein the infusion pump is configured to simultaneously deliver different doses of the first medicament and the second medicament.

20 . The infusion pump system of claim 14 , further comprising a user interface through which the pump can be controlled.

21 . The infusion pump system of claim 20 , wherein the user interface is disposed on the infusion pump.

22 . The infusion pump system of claim 14 , wherein at least one of the first medicament container and the second medicament container has a generally cylindrical configuration.

23 . The infusion pump system of claim 22 , wherein both the first medicament container and the second medicament container have a generally cylindrical configuration.

24 . An infusion pump, comprising:
a fluid pumping mechanism; a first reservoir channel configured to receive a first medicament for delivery to a user and having a first interior transverse diameter; and a second reservoir channel configured to receive a second medicament for delivery to a user and having a second interior transverse diameter larger than the first interior transverse diameter of the first reservoir channel, wherein the first interior transverse diameter of the first reservoir channel is configured such that it is too small to receive a medicament container corresponding to the second interior transverse diameter of the second reservoir channel.

25 . The infusion pump of claim 24 , wherein the second interior transverse diameter of the second reservoir channel is configured such that it is larger than a medicament container corresponding to the first interior transverse diameter of the first reservoir channel.

26 . The infusion pump of claim 24 , further comprising a first fluid tubing extending from the infusion pump to deliver the first medicament and a second fluid tubing extending from the infusion pump to deliver the second medicament.

27 . The infusion pump of claim 24 , wherein the first reservoir channel is configured to receive insulin as the first medicament and the second reservoir channel is configured to receive glucagon as the second medicament.

28 . The infusion pump of claim 24 , wherein the infusion pump is configured to independently dispense the first medicament and the second medicament.

29 . The infusion pump of claim 28 , wherein the infusion pump is configured to simultaneously deliver different doses of the first medicament and the second medicament.

30 . The infusion pump of claim 24 , further comprising a user interface through which the pump can be controlled.

31 . The infusion pump of claim 20 , wherein the user interface is disposed on the infusion pump.

32 . The infusion pump system of claim 24 , wherein at least one of the first reservoir channel and the second reservoir channel has a generally cylindrical configuration.

33 . The infusion pump system of claim 32 , wherein both the first reservoir channel and the second reservoir channel have a generally cylindrical configuration.
