Abstract

A toilet seat assembly for enhancing comfort of a toilet seat includes a toilet seat that is hingedly coupled to a toilet. A cover is removably positioned to cover the toilet seat such that the cover is sat on. Moreover, the cover is comprised of a thermally insulating material to inhibit thermal communication between a user and the toilet seat. In this way the cover enhances comfort for the user with respect to sitting on a cold toilet seat.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A toilet seat assembly being configured to be coupled to a toilet for sitting, said assembly comprising:
a toilet seat being configured to be hingedly coupled to a toilet; and a cover being removably positioned to cover said toilet seat wherein said cover is configured to be sat on, said cover being comprised of a thermally insulating material wherein said cover is configured to inhibit thermal communication between a user and said toilet seat, said cover having a top surface, a bottom surface and a peripheral edge extending therebetween, said peripheral edge having an inwardly facing side and an outwardly facing side, each of said inwardly and outwardly facing sides being undulated and continuous such that said cover forms a closed loop, said inwardly facing side being concentric with said outwardly facing side.

2 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said toilet seat has an upper surface, a lower surface and a perimeter surface extending therebetween, said perimeter surface having an interior facing side and an exterior facing side, each of said interior facing side and said exterior facing side being continuous such that said toilet seat forms a closed loop.

3 . The assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said cover has a top surface, a bottom surface and a peripheral edge extending therebetween, said peripheral edge having an inwardly facing side and an outwardly facing side, each of said inwardly and outwardly facing sides being continuous such that said cover forms a closed loop, said inwardly facing side being concentric with said outwardly facing side.

4 . The assembly according to claim 3 , wherein:
said toilet seat has an upper surface, an interior facing side and an exterior facing side; and said bottom surface abuts said upper surface of said toilet seat and being coextensive with said upper surface when said cover is positioned on said toilet seat, said cover extending downwardly along each of said interior facing side and said exterior facing side of said toilet seat having each of said inwardly facing side and said outwardly facing side being positioned on said bottom surface of said toilet seat.

5 . The assembly according to claim 4 , further comprising a first elastic member being coupled to said bottom surface of said cover, said first elastic member being aligned with and being coextensive with said inwardly facing side, said first elastic member biasing said inwardly facing side to frictionally engage said bottom surface of said toilet seat to releasably retain said cover on said toilet seat.

6 . The assembly according to claim 4 , further comprising a second elastic member being coupled to said bottom surface of said cover, said second elastic member being aligned with and being coextensive with said outwardly facing side, said second elastic member biasing said outwardly facing side to frictionally engage said bottom surface of said toilet seat to releasably retain said cover on said toilet seat.

7 . A toilet seat assembly being configured to be coupled to a toilet for sitting, said assembly comprising:
a toilet seat being configured to be hingedly coupled to a toilet, said toilet seat having an upper surface, a lower surface and a perimeter surface extending therebetween, said perimeter surface having an interior facing side and an exterior facing side, each of said interior facing side and said exterior facing side being continuous such that said toilet seat forms a closed loop; a cover being removably positioned to cover said toilet seat wherein said cover is configured to be sat on, said cover being comprised of a thermally insulating material wherein said cover is configured to inhibit thermal communication between a user and said toilet seat, said cover having a top surface, a bottom surface and a peripheral edge extending therebetween, said peripheral edge having an inwardly facing side and an outwardly facing side, each of said inwardly and outwardly facing sides being undulated and continuous such that said cover forms a closed loop, said inwardly facing side being concentric with said outwardly facing side, said bottom surface abutting said upper surface of said toilet seat and being coextensive with said upper surface when said cover is positioned on said toilet seat, said cover extending downwardly along each of said interior facing side and said exterior facing side of said toilet seat having each of said inwardly facing side and said outwardly facing side being positioned on said bottom surface of said toilet seat; a first elastic member being coupled to said bottom surface of said cover, said first elastic member being aligned with and being coextensive with said inwardly facing side, said first elastic member biasing said inwardly facing side to frictionally engage said bottom surface of said toilet seat to releasably retain said cover on said toilet seat; and a second elastic member being coupled to said bottom surface of said cover, said second elastic member being aligned with and being coextensive with said outwardly facing side, said second elastic member biasing said outwardly facing side to frictionally engage said bottom surface of said toilet seat to releasably retain said cover on said toilet seat.
