Ring Holder

Abstract

The current invention are ring holding devices such as pendants that securely hold and display rings. The base of the pendant is metal forming the outline of the desired shape (such as a heart). There is a latch that opens to allow the metal outline to be placed through the ring. The latch is closed, securing the ring in place, hanging from the body. The device may have bails to secure the pendant to a chain, to allow the pendant to be worn on a necklace, bracelet, or other accessories.

1 . A ring holder comprising:
 a generally annular base having an outer perimeter member circumscribing a formed inner orifice;   a latch connected to the annular base and forming an access to said inner orifice, said latch connected to the outer perimeter member by a hinge;   wherein the latch is adapted to move between an opened condition for disconnecting the outer perimeter member and a closed condition for connecting the outer peremeter member, said opened condition allowing for placing at least one ring on the base for support onto or removal from the perimeter member and wherein the said closed conditions secures the at least one ring onto the perimeter m.   
     
     
         2 . The ring holder according to  claim 1  wherein the base further comprises bails attached to said outer perimeter member. 
     
     
         3 . The ring holder according to  claim 2  wherein the base has a top angularly positioned relative to said latch and the bails are attached to the outer perimeter member at the top of the base. 
     
     
         4 . The ring holder according to  claim 3  wherein the base has a back and the bails are attached to the outer perimeter member at the back of the base. 
     
     
         5 . The ring holder according to  claim 1  wherein the hinge is a tension hinge. 
     
     
         6 . The ring holder according to  claim 1  wherein the ring holder is a fashion accessory. 
     
     
         7 . The ring holder according to  claim 6  wherein the fashion accessory is a pendant. 
     
     
         8 . The ring holder according to  claim 1  wherein the base has a back and a pin mechanism is attached to the base at the back of the base. 
     
     
         9 . The ring holder according to  claim 2  further comprising a chain, wherein the base is connected to the chain. 
     
     
         10 . The ring holder according to  claim 9  wherein a chain runs through the bails. 
     
     
         11 . The ring holder according to  claim 10  wherein the base is connected to chain via interaction with the bails such as to form a necklace. 
     
     
         12 . A ring holding jewelry item comprising:
 a pendant further comprising:
 an arcuate shaped band element having a first terminus and a second terminus, a circumferential length of the band element extending between said first terminus to said second terminus and circumscribing a majority of an area forming an inner receiving orifice; 
 a positionable access latch, said latch connection at a first end at said first terminus in a rotatable manner such as to allow for alignment of a second end with the second terminus; and 
 a locking element for selectively connecting said second end with said second terminus in a manner that allows the hand element and access latch combination to completely enclose the area forming an inner receiving orifice; 
   one or more bale connected to or formed by said arcuate shaped band element;   a supporting connection for running through and securing said one or more bales to a user; and   a ring for being loosely secured to and removably supported by the arcuate shaped band element.   
     
     
         13 . The ring holding jewelry item of  claim 12 , wherein said arcuate shaped band element is further formed substantially into a heart shape. 
     
     
         14 . The ring holding jewelry item of  claim 12 , wherein said supporting connection is selected from a group comprising: a necklace; a bracelet; a pin; a stick pin. 
     
     
         15 . The ring holding jewelry item of  claim 13 , wherein said supporting connection is selected from a group comprising: a necklace; a bracelet; a pin; and a stick pin. 
     
     
         16 . The ring holding jewelry item of  claim 12 , wherein said latch connection at a first end at said first terminus further comprises a hinge. 
     
     
         17 . The ring holding jewelry item of  claim 12 , wherein said latch connection at a first end at said hinge is a spring urged tension hinge
