Abstract

Examples disclosed herein relate to an enhanced installation for a video display, such as a video display of an electronic gaming device. The enhanced installation may allow for easier installation and/or removal of the video display via one or more biased connectors, such as snap-and-click connectors.

What is claimed is: 
     
         1 . An electronic gaming device comprising:
 a housing;   a door movably connected to the housing and located at a front of the housing, the door having a front and a rear, the door comprising a display interconnection area, the display interconnection area including an interface with one or more connection areas, the display interconnection area facing outwardly from the front of the door and;   a video display, the video display having a front and a rear, the rear facing the front of the door and the front of the video display facing outwardly of the door; and   a locking connector disposed on the rear of the video display, the locking connector comprising a body and at least one locking device which is movable relative to said body between a compressed and an uncompressed position, the at least one locking device configured to connect with the one or more connection areas and the at least one locking connector being accessible from the rear of the door.   
     
     
         2 . The electronic gaming device in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein the connection area is configured press the at least one locking device to the compressed position to accept the at least one locking device and the at least one locking device then moving to the uncompressed position to lock the at least one locking connector to the connection area. 
     
     
         3 . The electronic gaming device of  claim 1 , wherein the locking device is configured to be released from the connection area by movement of the at least one locking device to the compressed position via contact with one or more unlocking points which are accessible from the rear of the door. 
     
     
         4 . The electronic gaming device of  claim 1 , wherein the locking connector protrudes from a back surface of the video display and the at least one locking device comprises two securing latches biased outward from side surfaces of the body, and an unlocking device disposed on a back surface of the locking connector. 
     
     
         5 . The electronic gaming device of  claim 4 , wherein the securing latches are configured to be pressed inwardly towards the body when the locking connector is pressed into the connection area, the connection area comprising an opening in the display interconnection area, and the securing latches configured to bias back outwardly and lock the locking connector into engagement with the door. 
     
     
         6 . An electronic gaming device comprising:
 a housing having a front which faces a player of the gaming device and an interior area behind the front, the front of the housing defining a display interconnection area, the display interconnection area including an interface with one or more connection areas, the display interconnection area facing outwardly from the front of the housing;   a video display, the video display having a front and a rear, the rear facing the front of the housing and the front of the video display facing outwardly of the housing; and   a biased connector disposed on the rear of the video display, the biased connector being configured to connect with the one or more connection areas, and the biased connector being accessible at a rear of the front of said housing at said interior area of said housing.   
     
     
         7 . The electronic gaming device in accordance with  claim 6 , wherein a door is located at the front of the housing and the display interconnection area is located at a front of the door. 
     
     
         8 . The electronic gaming device in accordance with  claim 6 , wherein the display interconnection area further includes one or more electrical connection areas, the video display further includes one or more electrical connection devices, and the one or more electrical connection areas and the one or more electrical connection devices are configured to be connected to each other. 
     
     
         9 . The electronic gaming device of  claim 6 , wherein the biased connector is configured to be released by contact with one or more unlocking points accessible from the rear of the front of said housing at said interior area of said housing. 
     
     
         10 . A video display mounting configuration comprising:
 a video display support having a front and a rear, said video display support comprising a display interconnection area, the display interconnection area including an interface with one or more connection areas, the display interconnection area being located at the front of the video display support and facing outwardly therefrom;   a video display, the video display having a front and a rear, the rear facing the front of the door and the front of the video display facing outwardly of the video display support; and   a biased connector disposed on the rear of the video display, the biased connector configured to connect with the one or more connection areas, and the at least one biased connector being accessible from the rear of the video display support.   
     
     
         11 . The video display mounting configuration of  claim 10 , wherein the display interconnection area further includes one or more electrical connection areas. 
     
     
         12 . The video display mounting configuration of  claim 11 , wherein the video display further includes one or more electrical connection devices. 
     
     
         13 . The video display mounting configuration of  claim 12 , wherein the one or more electrical connection areas and the one or more electrical connection devices are configured to be electrically coupled to each other. 
     
     
         14 . The video display mounting configuration of  claim 13 , wherein one or more processors monitor a status of an electrical connection between the one or more electrical connection areas and the one or more electrical connection devices. 
     
     
         15 . The video display mounting configuration of  claim 10 , wherein the biased connector is configured to be released by contact with one or more unlocking points accessible from the rear of the video display support. 
     
     
         16 . The video display mounting configuration of  claim 10 , wherein the video display support comprises a door of a gaming machine. 
     
     
         17 . The video display mounting configuration of  claim 10 , wherein at least a portion of the biased connector extends through an opening in the video display support from the front of the video display support to the rear of the video display support. 
     
     
         18 . The video display mounting configuration of  claim 10 , wherein the biased locking connector comprises a body having at least one locking device extending outwardly therefrom, wherein the connection area is configured press the at least one locking device to a compressed position to accept the at least one locking device. 
     
     
         19 . The video display mounting configuration of  claim 18  wherein the at least one locking device is biased to an uncompressed position to lock the biased locking connector to the connection area.
