Pour spout and a method of fabrication thereof
Abstract
A pour spout, comprising a main body adapted to fit within the bottle neck of a bottle; a pouring part; the pouring part being slidingly movable between a retracted position within the main body and an extended position out of the main body; and at least one spring extending from a bottom end of the pouring part and a bottom end of the main body; wherein a threshold pressure is applied on a free edge of the pouring part, the spring gets compressed down below the pouring part as the pouring part slides within the main body, until the free edge of the pouring part reaches the edges of the bottleneck.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A pour spout, comprising:
a main body adapted to removably fit within the bottle neck of a bottle; a pouring part, said pouring part comprising a breather and an open top; said pouring part being slidingly movable between a retracted position within the main body and an extended position out of the main body; a threaded outer circumferential ring connecting the pouring part and the main body and adapted to secure a threaded cap on top of the pouring part in the retracted position of the pouring part within the main body; an air tube extending from said breather in the pouring part through said main body and out of said main body; and at least one spring extending from a bottom end of the pouring part and a bottom end of the main body; wherein when a threshold pressure is applied on a free edge of the pouring part, the spring gets compressed down below the pouring part as the pouring part slides within the main body, until the free edge of the pouring part reaches the edges of the bottleneck; and wherein said air tube is aligned with said breather to control air flow from said breather to said main body for a control of a liquid flow rate out through said open top end of the pouring part.
2 . (canceled)
3 . The pour spout of claim 1 , further comprising a stopper of the extension of the pouring part out of the main body in the extended position of the pour spout.
4 . (canceled)
5 . The pour spout of claim 1 , further comprising fins extending from an outer surface of the main body.
6 . The pour spout of claim 1 , further comprising rubber fins extending from an outer surface of the main body.
7 . (canceled)
8 . (canceled)
9 . The pour spout of claim 1 , further comprising a circumferential sitting ring, said sitting ring being positioned on the top of the main body and supporting the pour spout on an upper edge of the bottle opening.
10 . The pour spout of claim 1 , further comprising a fitting seal in sealing contact with the inside wall of the bottle neck.
11 . The pour spout of claim 1 , wherein said pouring part is in stainless steel and the main body is in a thermoplastic polymer.
12 . The pour spout of claim 1 , wherein said pouring part is in stainless steel, the main body is in a thermoplastic polymer, and the at least one spring is in stainless steel.
13 . The pour spout of claim 1 , wherein said is cap adapted to close the bottle on top of the pouring part in the retracted position of the pouring part within the main body within the bottle.
14 . The pour spout of claim 1 , wherein said cap is adapted to engage said ring to close the bottle on top of the pouring part in the retracted position of the pouring part within the main body within the bottle.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
