Spatula For Culinary Use
Abstract
A spatula is disclosed that is used to implement a food preparation method having the object of forming a roll of ice-cream, in which a quantity of food product in liquid or creamy state, consisting of a basic preparation for ice-cream, is spread on a controlled cooling plane at a temperature of about −18° C., to form in a few seconds a layer of ice-cream, changed into solid or pasty state, which is subsequently scraped away by the spatula, the latter having an upper side from which a protrusion emerges that, during scraping, meets the scraped-away ice-cream and deflects the ice-cream, promoting the rolling up thereof.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 - 8 . (canceled)
9 . A spatula, comprising:
a spatula body made of plastics for foodstuffs, said spatula body having a handle arranged at a first end of said spatula; an insert made of metal and fixed in a removable manner to said spatula body, said insert having a scraping edge arranged at a second end of said spatula opposite said first end; and a protrusion that emerges from an upper side of said spatula body; wherein said spatula body has a further edge that is usable to scrape when said insert is removed; wherein said spatula is adapted to scape a cooling plane for detaching at least one portion of a layer of food product that is in a solid or pasty state, such that said protrusion meets said detached layer portion and deflects the portion to promote rolling up thereof.
10 . The spatula according to claim 9 , wherein said protrusion is fixed in a removable manner to said spatula body and is connected to said insert by means of at least one stem inserted into a hole obtained in said spatula body.
11 . The spatula according to claim 9 , wherein said insert is fixed in a removable manner to a lower side of said spatula body.
12 . The spatula according to claim 9 , wherein said insert includes an upper surface that is bounded at a front by said scraping edge and at a rear by a rear edge, and wherein said rear edge is contiguous to an upper surface of said upper side of said spatula body.
13 . The spatula according to claim 12 , wherein said protrusion emerges from said upper surface of said upper side of said spatula body at a distance from said rear edge.
14 . The spatula according to claim 12 , wherein said protrusion emerges obliquely from said upper surface of said upper side of said spatula body.
15 . The spatula according to claim 12 , wherein said protrusion extends beyond said rear edge.
16 . The spatula according to claim 12 , further comprising an element that is made of metal and is fixed in a removable manner to said upper side of said spatula body, said element comprising said protrusion.
17 . The spatula according to claim 16 , wherein a portion of said spatula body is interposed between said element and said insert, said element being connected to said insert by means of at least one stem inserted into a hole formed in said portion of said spatula body.
18 . The spatula according to claim 9 , wherein said scraping edge comprises a sharp cutting edge.
19 . The spatula according to claim 9 , wherein said spatula body has a concave curved lower side.
20 . The spatula according to claim 9 , wherein said further edge is contiguous to the scraping edge.
21 . The spatula according to claim 9 , wherein said protrusion is directed towards said detached layer portion.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
